kg_lynn First, please accept my apologies that we were unable to help you secure the VW convertible that you were hoping to purchase. From my understanding, you spoke to James on Thursday and made sure the vehicle was here. At that time, James made sure the vehicle was sent to the service department to be inspected. James was not in the office Friday and was not aware that the vehicle did not pass our inspection process. When you arrived Saturday morning, James learned at that time, the vehicle you were interested in did not pass. I have spoken to James and told him, even though he was scheduled off, I feel it’s his responsibility so contact the store and get updates, even if he is not working. This would have allowed James to make you aware of the situation prior to making your drive. I also want to stress the point that we thoroughly inspect every vehicle we sell. While I am sorry you did not receive the treatment you expected, I’m grateful that we did not sell you a vehicle that could have been questionable. We have a great reputation and we only sell quality vehicles. In summary, I will make sure that my staff knows they need to communicate with customers even when they are scheduled off or at least communicate with their managers to make sure appropriate steps are taken to avoid these situations. I also thank you for the feedback and opportunity to investigate this. I will post this reply when and if your review goes online. Again, I apologize for the situation and the less than professional attitude you received. Ed W.
