I own a 1999 Toyota Tacoma, and just discovered the vehicle is unsafe to operate due to excessive rust and corrosion of th I am extremely frustrated! I own a 1999 Toyota Tacoma, and just discovered the vehicle is unsafe to operate due to excessive rust and corrosion of the frame. What is so upsetting is that this is my 16 year old daughter's vehicle - and I only became aware of the corrosion when I asked a service technician to check out the Exhaust System. The vehicle, in 2011, as a result of the Extended Warranty for inappropriate corrosion resistance, was taken into a local Toyota Dealer (Page Toyota - Southfield MI). At that time, we were advised that there were no corrosion issues, therefore they would merely be applying a corrosion resistance application. Here we are six years later and the frame is completely rusted out. The vehicle has just under 200,000 miles on it (which is nothing for a Toyota - capable of so much more), but is now unsafe to operate without a new frame! I contacted Page Toyota, who advised that they would investigate. I did not hear back as of yet, so I contacted the 800-331-4331 number referenced by another. I am told, sorry, it is outside the 15 year warranty period, there is nothing we can do! So, had I brought it in after 15 years of use, in 2014 (instead of 2011), would I again have been told there was no corrosion? If I purchased a car, that did not have any rust/corrosion issue 6 years ago, I would be livid that it was completely rusted out in 6 years... UNACCEPTABLE! I have to believe that one of two things occurred... (1) PAGE TOYOTA of Southfield MI lied about the condition of the vehicle at the time of the inspection OR (2) PAGE TOYOTA did not properly spray for corrosion on my non-corroded vehicle as indicated! EITHER WAY, I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE TO ANOTHER AUTO MAKER!!! More
Repaired a side body dent perfectly in only two days I took in a non-Toyota car for a rear right hand side dent repair, and got it fixed in two days. The courteous and knowledgeable staff make sure I leave the dealership feeling satisfied and content that my vehicle is running and operating at peak performance. My service representative Natalie Baile (assistant service manager) always goes the extra mile and ensures that she delivers on promised repair or maintenance as well as making sure I'm comfortable with the details of service including price, timing etc.. there are never any "surprises" at page Toyota.. straight talk and quality is what I've come to expect from my Page Toyota service experience. In the years that I have been going to Page I have come to know the manager Dave Davis and I can say that he is the driving force behind a professional staff of service managers and technicians. After 'Excellence Service' we found one side the tire retate (dark red dot on front) but other side do nothing light red dots still in front and dark red dot in back, I told the service rep. (Chris Cooper) the story he keep says they did if I want to change back do it. This is "Service Excellence Award" service story, I will contact Toyota to ask them that what is "Service Excellence Award" like this king of service??? More
I worked with two techs trying to help me out with my FRS. I want thank them both and give them kudos for providing excellent service! I just installed leather seats from a BRZ and my FRS would not recognize that there was no passenger in the passenger seat. They connected the computer to tried and re-zero the sensor - but that setting is not available on my car. They took the time to explain what they did and tried some other things to fix the issue. They were unable to fix my issue, but nonetheless provided stellar service! On a side note, if you could it pass along - I did manage to get things working properly by installing the BRZ skin on the FRS foam (to which the Occupant Sensor is attached). Thanks for your help! You'll be my new Toyota dealer of choice! More
I would like to tell you about your fine service write up person Natalie Baile and your mechanic Rob Carner. My daughter has an o3 4-runner that had a bad intermediate steering shaft. She lives in Ann Arb person Natalie Baile and your mechanic Rob Carner. My daughter has an o3 4-runner that had a bad intermediate steering shaft. She lives in Ann Arbor and is a nurse. When the shaft was replaced the vechicle went into distress mode with traction control and braking and basically going into neutral. I called yesterday and Natalie was extremely helpful and let me talk to Rob so that I could drive the vechicle from Rochester Hills to Page. I passed by 2 toyota dealerships to come to Page to have the calibrated steering angle sensor scanned... I will tell my friends of the great service I received. Please complement Natalie and Rob for the great job they did for my daughters car. Also please make management and ownership aware of these fine employees. More
