As indicated on my initial private follow-up to you on 2/22, I wish to thank you for taking the time to provide this review. It is greatly appreciated, as all customer input is considered valuable and helpful. I apologize that you feel your experience was unsatisfactory, have looked into this further, and think things can be explained as a simple misunderstanding and/or miscommunication. Actually, the answers you received - "...did not have the proper set of tires/materials..." and "...test was not actually necessary..." - were both correct, and ended up saving you money. While we did not have an equivalent set of tires/wheels to swap onto your vehicle for comparison purposes, we did still put your vehicle up on the lift to inspect the suspension, steering, etc., for any possible mechanical cause of the noise and also test drove it, which all accounts for the initial hour of diagnosis time which you were quoted, and all that you paid. (And would not have, had you had the recommended repairs done.) On that test drive is where the technician confirmed the tire noise was due to unevenly worn tires, deeming the tire/wheel swap/comparison unnecessary, and therefore saved you the cost of the extra open estimate of "time & materials" to perform that additional test as itemized on your invoice.
