Dishonest Price Quote I've been going to Park Avenue Acura for the last 10 years for service on my 2004 TL and 2012 MDX, trekking all the way from NYC, but will now stop. I came across a brake special coupon where they would inspect and replace front or rear brake pads as part of a service for $290. I wanted to check to see if they would replace both the front and rear brake pads if the inspection turns out that both need to be replaced so I called. Brian confirmed that they could replace both for the $290. Pricing sounded good to me but when I got to the shop, I was signing the paper work when I was shocked to see the price of $580. He explained nonchalantly that the price was per axle. He had said he could do both for $290 and had made no mention of per axle on the phone call. Sure you got me in the door but guess what? I'm not walking through that door again. They already had a strike in my book from a service back in 2011 when they somehow created a quarter-sized puncture in my TL's trunk. They returned the car to me with a shoddy paint up job using putty to fill in the whole and then touch-up paint on top. I picked up the car at night and did not notice this until a couple days later. They are far away and I did not have time to go back to address this issue. But eventually, that touch up spot rusted and corroded. I let that go as I thought it was just a one-time thing. Now, with this second strike, I am done with them. They have good reviews on their website and built their reputation so they can charge higher service prices than other dealers and no longer need to treat their customers as well now. More

Painless Purchasing! After using the online chat feature on the dealer's website (after business hours) regarding purchasing a CPO Acura TSX was then contacted by Alfredo After using the online chat feature on the dealer's website (after business hours) regarding purchasing a CPO Acura TSX was then contacted by Alfredo Sierra... Alfredo was very pleasant to deal with answering all of my questions and even gave me his cellphone number and email address so that he could fully assist me with any additional questions I had regarding the car even if the dealership was closed. I then went in to the dealership and saw several TSX's that were in my price range and all with low mileage. We went out on a test drive and I was very impressed with the car and since there were several to choose from including some base models, different colors and some with the Technology Package I decided to sleep on it before picking one. Returned to the dealership the next day and wanted to drive a TL just to compare it to the TSX but after going out on a test drive decided that the TL was more money than I wanted to spend and was not sporty enough for me (since the base TL is more of a large luxury sedan). Settled upon a TSX with the Tech package and waited for them to evaluate my trade in. Expecting the usual lowball figure like you get from most dealers I was pleasantly surprised when his initial offer was at the high end of the price range (he had sent it to me via an earlier email) as listed in the Black Book. The price of the TSX that I was buying was also listed as a "Great Price" on TrueCar.com being priced well below market value. After asking for a little more on my trade in just to get us down to a nice even figure we settled on a price that we were both happy with. There were a few minor cosmetic imperfections on the car and Alfredo agreed to have them all fixed prior to my picking it up, even listing each of them specifically in the purchase contract. Picked up the car after the weekend and found all of the work completed to my satisfaction. Alfredo helped me familiarize myself with all of the new features including the navigation and backup camera, synced up my cellphone to the in-car calling system and even helped program the stereo for me. For the first time in a long time I left a car dealership with a vehicle that I loved and did not feel like I had paid too much for. This level of total customer service (and employees like Alfredo) is the reason why Park Ave is the number one Acura dealer in NJ four years running! More

I was a bit disappointed when I learned that George Meyerson retired about 3 years ago, but it didn't stop me from doing business in 2013 when I got into a new TL at the time. This time around I was shopping around for a 2nd car and decided to look at a few different brands of cars. I didn't think of Acura at first since I didn't want to spend too much for a 2nd car and felt it might be out of my price range of what I was looking for. But of course I was wrong since they had quite a few incentives going on that were well worth looking into. I went in looking for an ILX and ended up leaving in a TLX. All thanks to Alfredo Sierra who gave me alternate options to get into the best car for what I was looking to spend without sacrificing on quality! Alfredo was very thorough in his explanation of features and provided hands down the best buying experience I have had in my history of leasing. He was extremely efficient on time and was excellent in getting a deal done in record time while providing an excellent experience as a buyer. I will most definitely be going back in a couple of months to do business with Alfredo when my primary lease comes to term. James Lundy was also extremely helpful in getting all the financing work done very quickly and had me on my way driving out in record time. Overall it is always a perfect experience doing business with Park Ave and I highly recommend them to anyone! If you haven't had the opportunity to stop in, you should! Even if it is just to shop around, I bet they will make the best deal possible happen for you and you will leave a satisfied customer.
