We have always had a positive experience and felt like we were treated fairly and respectfully. Tim does not use the outdated "heavy pressure" approach to making sales. Instead, he listens closely to what we want in a new vehicle, what features are important to us, what features/extras are not important, and what budget parameters we were trying to stay within. From there, Tim has always done the work to find a car that matches our wants and needs + is within our budget. Once the sale is made, his follow up is timely and sincere. We will continue to rely on David McDavid Acura in general and Tim Seacrest specifically for our replacement vehicle needs. More

I came into the dealership on Friday morning to look at an Acura I saw online. Tim came out and greeted my wife and I. He was helpful and freindly. I bought my TL from David McDavid 8 years ago and wanted badly to be a repeat customer for my MDX purchase. Unfortunately, Denis did everything he could to make sure that didn't happen. He would not give me straight answers - on pricing, availability, etc. He also outright lied to me by telling me Acura is not producing any more 2014 MDX models (because I wanted a car he didn't have in inventory) and that they are shifting everything to 2015 models - those aren't even available for pre-order!! He wanted me to have other dealers in the area do all the hard work and just come back to him and tell him what price I received so he could try to match it without him having to lift a finger to earn my business. He mistakenly thought that since I live in the Plano/Allen area, I would not want to drive to Arlington, Dallas or Ft. Worth to buy a car. Well, he was wrong. Price is obviously very important in making such a purchase decision, but I like to do business with people I like and I feel I can trust. Denis lost my business as a result. He really personifies the "car salesman" stereotype. Did I mention we were buying 2 MDXs as my friend and I were both in the market? So, he lost two sales. We bought our cars this weekend from a competitor and were extremely happy with the whole experience. More
Last year about this time, my wife and I discussed replacing her '98 Honda Accord. We had decided to get another Honda. My wife wanted to get a CRV. I wanted her to have something nicer and suggested considering an RDX. We've been in Plano 34 years and knew David McDavid was a long established dealer so I emailed them some time in October. Gabe Sotelo began an email correspondence with me and after about a month, I stopped by to meet him. He was quite busy with customers and after a warm welcome to his dealership, asked if he could get someone to help me until he finished with his customer. He introduced me to Art Lee. After Art talked to me about the RDX and showed me a couple of them, we started talking about home improvement projects which is a passion of mine. When we concluded, I told Art we weren't in a hurry and that it would likely be February or so before we would move forward with a purchase. He offered me his card and told me to stop by any time with questions and pointed out his quiet office in the corner of the dealership. When I got home, I told my wife we didn't need to look any further for a dealership. I related our conversations and told her how much I enjoyed discussing our remodeling interests. Once ready to get serious, I suggested we consider the MDX. It had numerous features not found in the RDX. We went to see Art on Saturday, March 1st, drove an MDX, and we were sold. They didn't have the exact model we wanted so Art checked the incoming inventory and found our car due to arrive in a few days. He explained all the options thoroughly and never steered us toward anything but rather gave us his opinions about certain features. We really appreciated his candor as well as his knowledge of the products. He called me when the car didn't arrive on the day expected and told me he'd let me know as soon as it arrived, which he did. They completed the dealer options a day quicker than promised and on the following Friday, we met Salim Pirbhai, the business manager. My wife and I had spoken to Salim about extended warranties as well as financing. He had emailed information regarding the service contracts and he answered some questions over the phone and helped me navigate the specifics of the warranties. As with Art, we felt very comfortable with Salim. He answered our questions and explained the various options available to us without ever making us feel any pressure to purchase additional coverage. I discovered that Salim and I shared a mutual interest in the home furnishings arena. I've worked in the industry my entire career and he and his brother have also worked in that industry. Once he completed his part of the transaction, we were turned back over to Art to introduce us to our new MDX. He patiently and thoroughly showed us the numerous, hi-tech features on this car. He also introduced us to the service staff who greeted us warmly and welcomed us to be a part of their family. That's the way they made us feel. Overall, this was the best experience we've ever enjoyed in a new car purchase. I will encourage anyone and everyone to come see Art and his team. More
