I would have to say my experience at David McDavid was a very positive one. And to be perfectly honest, I was working with another dealership in the Metroplex prior to going to David McDavid Acura in Plan very positive one. I already had done my research on the type of vehicle I wanted, it was just a matter of getting the price where I wanted it. So I began to look for another dealership that had what I was looking for and it was these reviews that convinced me to give David McDavid Acura in Plano a try. As a matter of fact... these very reviews pointed me exactly to the salesman that I wanted to deal with, and he didn't disappoint. I gave Tony Vester a call and told him what I was looking for, we did a lot of communicating by email and phone.... and once we had the framework of a deal done.... I came down there to decide on used or new, and it was a no brainer once I test drove the all new 2014 MDX with tech package. The whole process was very easy, and no pressure. I ended up trading in an older Yukon in and they gave me a decent price on it.... I was surprised. Their business manager Giles Wilson was a key player in this too, as he was able to get the financing where I needed it to be. Great overall experience, and I love my new 2014 Acura MDX with tech... its an amazing vehicle. I plan to use David McDavid's Acura of Plano's service department for all of my service needs on my new Acura. Anybody looking for a new vehicle, I would highly recommend giving Tony a call. More
My battery died, requiring a visit to the dealership. Jordan diagnosed the problem as a corroded positive battery cable. The cable was replaced quickly and efficiently. She then replaced the battery, even though it tested "good," just to be sure that the problem does not reoccur. She and the dealership went above and beyond--I am very grateful. More
I bought my daughter a 2011 Acura RDX this weekend. Our sales associate was Tony Vester. The overall experience has terrific. Over the past couple months we had test drove several cars. There were no high pressure sales tactics, or playing games with pricing/deals. They were responsive, direct and very accomodating. They have a wonderful product to sell and they do a great job selling it. We love our new RDX and look forward to years of driving enjoyment. I had a good experience. The 1st day was a waste of time but they got me back in the next day and we worked out a deal on the vehicle. I was impressed with the standard this dealership has for its used cars. They make sure they sell quality used cars. I had looked at a similar vehicle at another dealership (and the vehicle was almost the its used cars. They make sure they sell quality used cars. I had looked at a similar vehicle at another dealership (and the vehicle was almost the same price), but they had much different standards. The "other dealership" could have cared less the quality of the car they sold me. Plus all their sales person did for me was try to push that month's sales incentives, not trying to match any of my needs. From the moment I walked in the dealership, everyone was so nice. They chatted with me like an old friend. I had the fortune of working with Tony. Tony was wonderful to work with. He wasn't pushy, just helpful. He was very informative of the car I was looking at. If he didn't have an answer, he didn't try to BS, he took a moment and looked for the answer. I definitely would work with him again next time I'm in the car market. More
My husband was searching for a low mileage, black Acura TSX and called Tim Sechrest on July 31. From the conversation, it sounded like Tim had exactly what we were looking for but we were unable to come o TSX and called Tim Sechrest on July 31. From the conversation, it sounded like Tim had exactly what we were looking for but we were unable to come out to the dealership that day. Tim was able to hold the car with our credit card until the next day. We met with Tim at 3 pm and drove off with our 2010 Acura TSX before 6 pm. In that time frame, Tim was able to resolve two issues on our certified vehicle: 1. missing floor mats and 2. scratches on three of the wheels by giving us a set of brand new floor mats and a price adjustment for the damage to the wheels. My husband and I have purchased many cars together in the 23 years that we have been married. I always dread the experience because of the lengthy process and aggressive sales and finance people but I experienced none of this with Tim Sechrest and the rest of the staff at David McDavid Acura of Plano. Would definitely recommend both Tim Sechrest and this dealership! More
