aschnei521, I have reviewed your entire experience with my dealership and I completely agree with your conclusions. Each of the points you made are completely understandable and I am not going to attempt to make excuses for how you were treated. I have already taken action with the appropriate staff members this morning and will work to be sure your poor experience is never recreated. Please contact me through this DealerRater account if you wish. I apologize for your experience with my business. John Scarbrough Vice-President

Moosashi, My Dealership participates in the DealerRater Certified Dealer Program. We are committed to providing high quality customer service, but based on your DealerRater review, you did not share that experience. That is very disappointing to me, and through this program I have the opportunity to work with you to resolve the issues with your experience at my dealership. Please let me know if you are interested in resolving this issue through me. John Scarbrough, VP Paul Moak Automotive

Hey John, thank you for your response, but yes I had a bad experience with Jerry. I merely wanted to find the outback in the color and model I wanted which was unavailable at the local dealership. After speaking with Jamie I was considering making the trip to Jackson. But, Jerry called and was very pushy and rude, and I felt like he was trying to strongarm me into driving to Jackson because it would be my only way of obtaining the vehicle I desired. Needless to say, I did not feel comfortable taking the chance driving that far and having him lowball me on the trade as he had lost my trust. I still want the green outback, but I do not think I am willing to commute to get it now after all that has been said and done. His words towards Koby Subaru (the local dealership) were slanderous, and they have shown me no reason to believe they were lying or trying to trick me as he had accused them of. The only way I can see I would want to purchase it would be if it were shipped to the local dealership. I do not trust Jerry and do not want to give him my business. I will retract the rating if you would like. As I do not want to harm the reputation of others such as Jamie who treated me fairly. Sincerely, Daniel Craddock

Also, I understand you not wanting to ship the vehicle here for them to sell to me if there is no benefit to your dealership. It is business after all.

Moosashi, forgive me in my slow response. I've been in New Orleans at a meeting and did not want to attempt a response on my Smartphone. If I may give a bit of background. Typically transfers of vehicles between dealerships is a very common practice and is done often (like weekly) without issue. The difference in your case is that we had record of a contact between yourself and one of my salespeople - Jamie. Normally once two dealerships "learn" that they are both working the same customer, then all bets are off on a transfer especially if it is a unique piece of inventory. This is why Jerry did what he did, it's not that he just wakes up wanting to screw people every day. He really is a wonderful person. He was just doing what I pay him to do in attempting to influence your decision on where you buy your Subaru. I believe he just got carried away and he and I have already had a terse conversation related to this. But in the end you are exactly right in that there is no benefit to Jerry, Jamie, or my dealership in giving up a unique vehicle to another dealership so that they can sell the car to someone we know has been in contact with us. So, I understand we have offered a price that beats the Koby price. And of course we have the vehicle. I would like for Jamie to be able to make her commission and sell you a car. You would have to drive to Jackson for it but for your trouble I'd provide you a $100 gift card to Ruth's Chris Steaks for your dinner as well as a $50 gas card for your gas expenses. I would be handling your paperwork so there would be no need for you to even encounter Jerry. Who knows, you may end up liking us. Lots of other folks on DealerRater certainly attest to our good treatment standards. At any rate, a retraction of your comments on DealerRater would certainly go a long way in ensuring Jamie's online reputation remains untarnished. Please let me know what you would like to do. Well, like I said 'I was considering making the trip' until I spoke with Jerry. Jerry was rude and accusative. I had no problem with him trying to sell me the car... it was his attitude! I used to sell life insurance. It is really pretty simple, treating people with respect should come before making a buc. If he had no intention of having the car shipped here he could have saved me a lot of time by just telling me that. Obviously, I made a mistake by calling your dealership to check if the car was still available. Daniel Craddock

The fact that you defended his attitude makes me think the rating is appropriate and I shouldnt retract it.
