This is a follow up to a review I left on 6/30/25 After writing my review I decided to do some research. I had to give up on reaching anyone at Platinum Hyundai by phone, because their system is impossible writing my review I decided to do some research. I had to give up on reaching anyone at Platinum Hyundai by phone, because their system is impossible to navigate. The only people you can reach are the sales team and they don't convey messages or apparently know how to transfer a call. So I called the warranty company. After some searching, they assured me that they had disbursed a check to Platinum Hyundai around the end of April. So the check was there, I just had to find someone who would actually communicate with me. I noticed that the previous person that I had emailed had the standard email address format; first initial of the first name, last name @platinumhyundaioftracy. If you go on to the website every employee is listed with their first and last name. So I emailed the owner, VP, GM, and FM. They returned my email immediately. The owner of Platinum Hyundai, Tony Pappas and their new Controller, Alicia Faulkner are incredible, helpful, and kind. I am so appreciative of their prompt service and ability to resolve my issue quickly. Thank you Platinum Hyundai for restoring my belief in your business. More
My initial purchase of a 2022 Hyundai Palisade from Platinum Hyundai of Tracy was unremarkable. However it's the follow up that's really lacking. Back in April 2025 I traded in the Palisade for a more Platinum Hyundai of Tracy was unremarkable. However it's the follow up that's really lacking. Back in April 2025 I traded in the Palisade for a more fuel economic car. I had purchased and extended warranty, so was owed a reimbursement on the residual. I filled out the paperwork, turned it into Platinum Hyundai and was told it would be resolved quickly. I've been exchanging emails with them since April now. I've tried calling, which is a joke. It's impossible to reach anyone, never mind the Controller on the phone. I've sat on hold for hours, yes HOURS. I've left messages. I've tried talking to people in sales to get transferred to first Tillie and now Alicia. Evidently they don't know how to transfer calls. They can only take hand-written notes, which most always get lost because I've never gotten a call back. The only thing this dealership is interested in doing is TAKING your money. Forget it if they actually owe you anything in return. They will try to dodge their obligation in any way they can. I was supposed to get a check a month ago, according to Tillie. It's for a few thousand dollars!! I've escalated to emailing the General Manager. I just want them to follow through with the commitment that they made to me. How hard can it be to put a check in the mail. I will even drive a hour out there and back, if they actually just settle up. But since I never hear back from them it's impossible to know if they actually have my money. Don't bother with them. There are plenty of other honest dealerships out there who won't waste your time. I attempted to start paperwork and do deposit prior to coming which they refused. I called in the morning to confirm the vehicle was set aside for us which he confirmed. 10 minutes from the dealership, he called and said sorry they just sold that vehicle. He said he could get one from another dealership. I asked him which one and he said Chico, so I checked their website and confirmed with them that they did not have the vehicle like he said! So we waited another hour only to be told the one he was going to get was also sold, he wasted our time. They didn’t even compensate us for time or gas as a courtesy. He ruined our weekend and hopes of getting a new car. DONT EVER DO BUSINESS HERE!!! More
On 9/27/2022, I was searching for vehicle pricing on a Hyundai Ioniq 5. I contacted Platinum Hyundai of Tracy to inquire about their pricing and availability. I spoke to employee Jeanetta who gave m Hyundai Ioniq 5. I contacted Platinum Hyundai of Tracy to inquire about their pricing and availability. I spoke to employee Jeanetta who gave me their pricing over the phone and sent a quote to me by e-mail shortly thereafter. I was at work so I wouldn't be able to place a reservation on the vehicle I wanted so I would have to wait until I get home. I was going to contact them back to make the reservation but I texted the salesperson first just to confirm. They raised their prices after a few hours by $1000 and I have screenshots of the change. I wanted to see if they would honor the price they gave me just hours before but the salesperson said no. They lied and said the price changed the week before but with my screenshots from their own website and even the physical dated quote and e-mail, that statement was just a straight up lie. After hours and hours and hours of searching, actions like this from a company is wrong and frustrating. In the supporting document, I took screenshots from when I was originally browsing the vehicle and the prices that were displayed on their public website. The two images on the left show one trim but note the same VIN#. The right two pictures show a different VIN but note the date of the quote and the "market adjustment" line item. It went up by $1000 in just a few hours. More

I bring my vehicles here for convenience, and the staff is always considerate, accommodating, and willing to work with you to resolve your issue. Pricing is exceptionally fair when compared to other dealerships in the market. Their staff is knowledgeable, and truly want to make sure you have a good experience. If you’re in need of servicing, definitely give these guys a shot. I’m confident that you’ll be impressed with the level of service you receive. I bring all my vehicles here now! More

Ripped off Yelp! Not done yet I brought my car in for service September 2018 because it hesitated. Was told it needed new engine. (7K) Not under warranty, no o Yelp! October 1, 2018 I paid $165.00 for (miss) diagnosis and had car towed to another Hyundai dealer to get second opinion it was repaired under warranty. I came to the Tracy Dealership on November 7 to ask for refund. I spoke with Brian Schneider. Brian Schneider said he understood and would give me a refund. I emailed Brian Schneider on 11/8 thanking for speaking with me and provided my contact information. I emailed again on November 19 asking for an update. I received no response from either email and no refund in the mail. I finally called and spoke to Brian Schneider on November 29 and at that time he told me that the GM, Keith, no last name givien, denied the refund, but that Brian Schneider would ask Keith again. It has been nearly 6 weeks and still I have no refund. I am surprised at the lack of customer service. I can't believe Brian Schneider has not responded to any of my emails or contacted me in any way. Who is their General Manager their Carchat says it is Tony Pappas, but Brian Schneider said the GM is Keith. And there is no Staff Directory on their website. No one ever contacted me even after many chances. More
