I called to purchase a 2020 Kia Forte which they said they had and if I wanted purchase over the phone, I could. I’ve done over the phone purchases with small dealers, you would think a big business dealership like this would have no problem and I was definitely wrong. They tell after my approval that they sold the car a week ago. Please, if you have a specific car in mind, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. There is a probably a whole in the whole dealership down the street that would be more honest and respectful with your time and information. They only want to sell cars they want to sell and do not care about you. I did even try to work with sales team to get me in a car I wanted in case this was just a simple error but they refused to help me, only trying to help themselves by wanting me to purchase higher priced cars. I have been to many dealerships and never have I been treated the way these people treated me. More

I had originally reached out to another location when shopping for my car and although they were very kind and helpful I just didn't feel that there was enough proactiveness on their end to make sure I g shopping for my car and although they were very kind and helpful I just didn't feel that there was enough proactiveness on their end to make sure I got what I needed in a timely manner, so I decided to look at other places and that's when I found Platinum Hyundai of Tracy! It was a little further than I would prefer to go but ended up being 100 times worth it! Shout out to Ary for his prompt responses to all my questions in regard to purchasing my new Hyundai Kona! I saw the one I wanted online, filled out the questionnaire and Ary promptly, but without any pressure, reached out to answer any and all questions I had. I knew exactly what I wanted and what I could afford and without missing a beat he made it happen for me AND even drove up to deliver the car to my office on his day off. (special shout out to the other staff member who also drove up with him on his day off, but I don't recall his name - I'm sorry!) The whole process was super smooth and efficient from start to finish and now I'm soooo happy in my beautiful new car. This location is clearly the place to go when searching for a new car! More
This is a follow up to a review I left on 6/30/25 After writing my review I decided to do some research. I had to give up on reaching anyone at Platinum Hyundai by phone, because their system is impossible writing my review I decided to do some research. I had to give up on reaching anyone at Platinum Hyundai by phone, because their system is impossible to navigate. The only people you can reach are the sales team and they don't convey messages or apparently know how to transfer a call. So I called the warranty company. After some searching, they assured me that they had disbursed a check to Platinum Hyundai around the end of April. So the check was there, I just had to find someone who would actually communicate with me. I noticed that the previous person that I had emailed had the standard email address format; first initial of the first name, last name @platinumhyundaioftracy. If you go on to the website every employee is listed with their first and last name. So I emailed the owner, VP, GM, and FM. They returned my email immediately. The owner of Platinum Hyundai, Tony Pappas and their new Controller, Alicia Faulkner are incredible, helpful, and kind. I am so appreciative of their prompt service and ability to resolve my issue quickly. Thank you Platinum Hyundai for restoring my belief in your business. More
My initial purchase of a 2022 Hyundai Palisade from Platinum Hyundai of Tracy was unremarkable. However it's the follow up that's really lacking. Back in April 2025 I traded in the Palisade for a more Platinum Hyundai of Tracy was unremarkable. However it's the follow up that's really lacking. Back in April 2025 I traded in the Palisade for a more fuel economic car. I had purchased and extended warranty, so was owed a reimbursement on the residual. I filled out the paperwork, turned it into Platinum Hyundai and was told it would be resolved quickly. I've been exchanging emails with them since April now. I've tried calling, which is a joke. It's impossible to reach anyone, never mind the Controller on the phone. I've sat on hold for hours, yes HOURS. I've left messages. I've tried talking to people in sales to get transferred to first Tillie and now Alicia. Evidently they don't know how to transfer calls. They can only take hand-written notes, which most always get lost because I've never gotten a call back. The only thing this dealership is interested in doing is TAKING your money. Forget it if they actually owe you anything in return. They will try to dodge their obligation in any way they can. I was supposed to get a check a month ago, according to Tillie. It's for a few thousand dollars!! I've escalated to emailing the General Manager. I just want them to follow through with the commitment that they made to me. How hard can it be to put a check in the mail. I will even drive a hour out there and back, if they actually just settle up. But since I never hear back from them it's impossible to know if they actually have my money. Don't bother with them. There are plenty of other honest dealerships out there who won't waste your time.
