MISLEADING AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM PLATTS!
I purchased a vehicle from PLATTS Aug 2009 and was told that our inspections were included for the life of the car. We had our first inspection and was charged $57.
breakdown: $12 for tire rotation( that wasn't approved) and $45 for emissions.
I was not aware that the "FREE INSPECTION" did not include emissions. Apparently, I misunderstood. MY BAD.
But when I called the service manager, RON, he barked at me for questioning the total $57 charge and then attempted to belittle me by saying "If you really are bawking about $12, then come back and get your $12." I wasn't bawking about anything. I just wanted to know why we were charged $57 for something I was lead to believe would be FREE.
I should have seen the red-flag when I got poor service (from RON, in 2009) for asking that the "sevice light" be corrected the first week I had owned the vehicle.
I am in need of another vehicle but I WILL DEFINITELY NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALER AGAIN!
My original sales rep no longer works there. And RON (the serv manager) apparently thinks my initial $16k in cash wasn't enough money to purchase a car with a little bit of customer service.
NOTE: Meineke only charges $40 for both PA STATE INSP and Emissions.
