I wanted to trade my vehicle in for 2 Honda Civics as my daughter needed a car. So I brought in my 2013 Ford Explorer and Pohanka gave me "Top Dollar" for my trade. We are very pleased with our new cars and I personally was very pleased with Shawn's communication during the whole process. All employees at Pohanka are friendly, helpful and I have never been in a car buying situation so pleasant. No pressure, beautiful showroom and great communication and that made all the difference! Service center unprofessional and unethical Several months ago I brought my vehicle here for an oil change. Brandon wrote up my work order and I signed off on it. After the work was done, Brandon tried to tell me the charge for the oil change was more than the price he gave me. He claimed the mechanics put premium oil in it (which I did not want or need.). After demanding to talk to the service manager, I found out regular oil was put in my car, but Brandon was trying to charge me for premium. I decided never to let Brandon deal with my car again. Today I went back to Pohanka for a minor repair job. A gentleman named Mike helped me, then I found out Brandon was training Mike. I honestly can't believe Brandond is still employed and he was up to his old tricks again today. After my repair was done, Brandon told me my car had been recalled Honda can't or won't fix the problem at this time. Maybe they will fix it in a few months they said. Meanwhile, Brandon wanted me to sign form stating that I WILL NOT DRIVE MY CAR until they decide to fix it. It turns out Honda is supposed to offer a free loaner until they fix the car, but of course Brandon did not do that. He just tried to get me to sign the form so Honda has no liability if I am killed or injured do to their faulty part. Seriously, don't buy a Honda. They won't stand by their products. Don't deal with Brandon in the Pohanka Service Center. He is a liar and will try to overcharge you and take advantage of you. If your vehicle is recalled, get a loaner. Don't put up with Honda's nonsense. More

Told my brother to go outside in the parking lot and wait, if the lady did not buy it we will sell the car to you, when i reached there I request to give us our paper work to leave. When he brought back the papers and asked us to fulfill formality if we were interested in any other vehicle, I told that even if you give a free car I won't take it from this dealership. Very disrespectful behavior. Sell its costumers for few more bucks. More

Long Slog With Lots of Missinformation Got a spare 7 hours? That's how long I spent over a 2 day period trying to make a simple purchase. Yes, I finally made the deal but it was one of th Got a spare 7 hours? That's how long I spent over a 2 day period trying to make a simple purchase. Yes, I finally made the deal but it was one of the more painful and frustrating car buying experiences I've ever had and I've bought more than 20 cars.. First, the Insight I bought from Pohanka in 2013 had a Takata airbag (yes the one that explodes and kills people) but Honda only informed me of that fact a week ago. Trying to make the recall a win-win I thought that Honda would be happy to sell me a new car rather than pay for a loner car for up to 2 months (they don't know when the parts for the recall will actually arrive). In reality, Pohanka couldn't have cared less about the cost to Honda and said my car was worth less because they would have to keep it on their lot till the repair parts came in. Really!!!! You're a Honda dealership not Ford! After wasting 3 hours and being rather poorly treated by the "Sales Manager". I pulled over to service department and picked up my loaner car. As an aside the service manager did an excellent job and tried to make things work as well as possible. The next day I got a call from the salesperson to see if we could reach an agreement. The reality for me was that, for multiple reasons, having a rental car for 2 months was going to be a giant pain. So I told the salesperson that I would come back but only if I could be out the door in little over an hour. I also asked what the monthly payment would be a the 0.9. I was assured that the process would be very quick and that the 0.9 would depend on my credit rating. Reality: I spent over 4 hours before I could get out of the dealership and the 0.9 didn't apply to the model I wanted. Oh, I would have to pay an extra $40. because my hybrid tags couldn't be transferred to the new vehicle. So if you want to deal with a company that uses the "make them invest time and wear down their resistance" and the "tell them what they want to hear and then say oh so sorry" methods of negotiations - this is the place for you!!!!! Finally, I did get a call the next day asking "how much I loved my new Honda" so I explained my experience and interestingly enough have not relieved the standard "tell us about your experience" e-mail". Wonder why? More
