Good experience ordering and receiving new vehicle We ordered our Macan through the dealership back at the end of December, with a scheduled delivery at the end of March. During our wait for the vehicle, the responsibility for our account moved to John Bassett - who was also helpful, keeping us informed of progress (eventually the vehicle turned up 3 weeks early - while we were out of town). When we returned to pick-up the vehicle we met John, and he guided us through the remainder of the process - perhaps 2-3 hours to complete the paperwork (Gary Miller) and a short overview of the features of the vehicle (John Bassett). My Porsche purchase involved both a good and a bad side! In general, I have long been very satisfied with the service I've received from, and my relationship with, the staff at Porsche Monterey. My one exception to that has to do with my dealings with the current general manager of the organization. As to my recent purchase of the 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo S, all went well with the current staff I was involved with, with the exception of the General Manager, Aaron Zielinski. John Bassett, Director of Internet Sales, with whom I worked directly with in my purchase of the vehicle, was very helpful, personable and professional in the handling of the upfront purchase price negotiations, with approvals from Mr. Zielinski, and in the delivery of the vehicle to me upon consummation of the transaction. However, upon arrival at the dealership on February 16, 2017, to consummate the purchase transaction, Mr. Zielinski had reneged on the previously agreed to purchase price for the vehicle, and he was attempting to charge me in excess of $14,000 more for the vehicle. After subsequent heavy face-to-face verbal pressure from me, I was ultimately able to get that discrepancy corrected to my satisfaction. It would definitely be a pleasure to again work with Mr. Bassett in the course of any future car purchases from Porsche Monterey, or from any other car dealership organization with whom he might be associated with in the future. However, I can't say now the same for Mr. Zielinski. More
