PHIL and KURT are the best!!!! To say we were ‘sold’ a car would be generalizing the process. We walked into Galpin Subaru already with the intention of purchasing a Forester. We were expecting the Sales team to come unhinged at our presence on the lot like a bird to its prey. Instead, we were allowed to take in each vehicle, compare and contrast different models, colors, options, etc. and gather our questions. We were warmly greeted by Philip who guided us through the lot, answering our questions with patience and clarity. He did not seek to embellish with the ‘on-the-nose’ sales approach but rather with transparency, making it apparent that if he did not have a resolute answer to a question, he would be sure to get us the answer. This was greatly appreciated and gave us the feeling that we were not being falsely guided into a purchase solely on lip service. Philip was with us through test drives, lot walks, and on many occasions over the telephone for a full week before purchase. We sat down with both Philip and Kurt (Finance) and punched at the numbers until they worked for us. At point of purchase we walked away feeling well respected with only the best and most professional of customer service experiences. Post-purchase was also the same...very attentive, returned phone calls on the dime by Philip, and consistency in promises and deliveries of services. A turnkey car buying experience with a no-nonsense approach and excellent customer service....Philip is definitely the salesperson to turn to and Kurt, being a true veteran of the biz, will guide you effortlessly to that ‘new car smell’! Leave it to Amanda Uncapher-Tarter, the very perceptive sales representative at Galpin Honda. She saw me arrive in an old Civic and check out a new one. What she saw most was my struggle to get out of the car, due to age-related mobility issues. That's when she suggested the radical move of checking out the Metallic Mulberry-colored 2018 HR-V parked nearby. I climbed in with ease and to my delight slid out without a twinge of back pain. Without any pressure whatsoever from Amanda, but with the expertise of her seasoned professionalism, I fell in love with the "crossover subcompact" - jargon I picked up from the Internet - and bought it, Mulberry color and all. Amanda's womanly fondness for it was catching and I liked falling for all things "un-boring" connected with my "un-civic" purchase. I get all kinds of flattering comments from neighbors and strangers in parking lots. The teenager is thrilled to have a sporty-minded grandmother.
