I'm very pleased with my choice to purchase the 2012 Volvo S60. It's a beautiful car and fun to drive. This is my first Volvo and I'm glad I went with Portland Volvo. This helped in my decision to purchase this vehicle. I appreciated his patience and the time he took while helping me order my car the way I wanted it. Very good experience buying a new car. My last experience 6 years ago I remember being haggled down for hours to get what what I wanted for price. Halie spoke with us and then after speaking with the manager 6 years ago I remember being haggled down for hours to get what what I wanted for price. Halie spoke with us and then after speaking with the manager one time only he came over and spoke with us no hassles or "twilight zone like" time delays. Everyone is genuinely friendly and you could tell they liked being there. At other places while shopping around I could feel and observe the tenseness. This place is the right choice. More
I was a tad disappointed in the trade in value assessed to the Honda Accord, but realize it has some age. The price on the Volvo was very fair as well as the trade in value on the Saab. Her manner is friendly and professional. She is clearly "the new kid on the block"; and when she did not know the answer to a question she deferred to someone who could provide the correct answer. The entire staff willing helped with the sale. That gave my husband and me confidence that we were in good hands. The vehicle itself is marvelous. I have begun to learn the Navigator; parallel parked it and have put it in the garage. Having said that (an expression I feel is overused these days) it is much bigger than I realized. A new car is a big purchase in one's life. It can be a difficult process weeding through all the choices, and Cary was terrific, patient, and responsive. He was top notch. Wish I could have had a chance to choose between the 9-5 X wagon and the 9-3X wagon. The 9-5 X wagon isn't due out until the Fall. I couldn't wait. But I am happy with the 9-3X wagon that I got last week. Cary did a good job helping me find a car that met my criteria. AWD was very important to me for this car, and he helped me stay on track with that. My wish is that Saab would develop a greener technology car, or wagon in my case, and lead the way for more cars and car companies to use cleaner energy, and/or be more fuel efficient. My next car, and I hope it is a Saab, will definitely have to be better on fuel or be a greener technology car. It is time for everyone to build cars that we can love, like the Saab, and not feel so guilty about owning and driving. Saab has the ability to do that, and it would be so great to be able to buy and drive an Saab with all its amazing engineering and details, and have it be a greener car than they are today. I am very pleased with the excellent customer service received on Saturday, and look forward with working with your Service Department in the future, understanding some of the same technicians are in Scarborough, ME that was at the Falmouth, ME location before moving the Saab dealership to Scarborough. Went looking for a used SAAB trading in my Ford Freestyle as 2 of my three kids have licenses and never ride with me anymore, so wanted to get that Red Sportscar I always wanted, the last 20 years have been as 2 of my three kids have licenses and never ride with me anymore, so wanted to get that Red Sportscar I always wanted, the last 20 years have been in vans and suv's. My goal was to go a year newer, less miles and lower my payment, Ralph pushed on my behalf and made it happen! My payment is $100 lower, the car is a year newer and 22,000 less miles! He is very laid back, friendly and knows the cars inside and out. He took the time to introduce me to pretty much the whole staff as I was now part of the Portland SAAB "family". Don't hesitate to look for your next new or used car there, I thought it was out of my price range, but they made it happen, and the Red 9-3 is in my driveway!! Thanks to the whole team!! More

My 2011 Volvo XC90 is my 28th vehicle, and I am planning to drive this Volvo until I need another Volvo, which I will purchase from PV. My first contact was with Peter Boroyan via telephone. I called with questions about differing options on four of the XC90's they had online. Peter was very knowledgeable, took the time to personally go check out the cars, and called me back ASAP. I had three major concerns about buying a new Volvo. I have had five back surgeries, and comfort is extremely important. I also have three dogs, that I consider my children, and in my previous 2010 Toyota Forerunner, the rear window rolled down so they could have a sufficient amount of air in any weather. Peter assured me that although the XC90 did not have a rolling down rear window, it did have rear air conditioning, so that the dogs would be very comfortable. Thirdly, I had never purchased a Volvo before, so I did my homework. I was very concerned about being "taken". I researched the trade in value for my Toyota and was prepared for my experience. After a test drive, I met with both the Sales Manager and the Used Car manager, who were both straight forward and honest, and not two hours later, purchased my new 2011 Volvo XC90. More
