Not your average dealorship I must say that it usually is with mixed emotions and some consternation when I enter a dealership. I love to look , learn and drive new cars and dread the actual process of buying one. That was what I expected at Portland but I was pleasantly surprised. I had spoken to Cody about the car I was interested in and he said he would have the car ready when I arrived from about 2 hours away. He met me and introduced me to Yelena my sales person. She was lovely, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient and explained all aspects of the car dealer online policies and walked me through the process with a little input from the others I have mentioned. I had come to look at a car and left driving it home with what was a very fair price, fair trade and a real creampuff car. I hardly expected that to happen. Their follow -up in sending required paperwork and a few items I inadvertently left in the car was right on with items being sent out next day mail as promised. I would not hesitate to recommend Portland Volvo in the future and in fact I already have when a friend remarked about my new car. If your looking for a new Volvo or good used car give them a try. Solid. I have a 2005 Volvo S60 and have been servicing my vehicle at Portland Volvo for the past year and a half. I find the service to be fine and solid. They offer shuttle rides or even a loaner car without hesitation. Whenever I bring my car in to have something looked at they diagnose and repair the same day without hesitation which I find to be very convenient. That being said, my thought is when going to a dealer and paying the premium labor $ per hour I would receive EXCEPTIONAL service, but I have noticed that they do what is asked and don't look go above and beyond. Dont' get me wrong when they do work on my vehicle it is done and fixed. But I was extremely disappointed when I went in to pick up my car the other day after a $650 repair and they explained my driver side window was off the track and they could turn off the switch for very little money or fix it, which would have cost nearly $700. I said just turn it off so I can't use the window anymore. I then asked the service clerk is this an inspectable item and he said yes when it is due for an inspection you will need it fixed. I guess he didn't take the time to look at my inspection sticker and notice that my inspection is due next month. I also was a little ticked off when my window washer fluid was low and they didn't fill it up. I guess the $650 I paid wasn't enough...I thought they had an investment in me being a young driver and a relatively new Volvo owner that they would want to try to delight me and provide exceptional service. That's not the case, since the cost is way too high here for the value I think I will explore other garages for my next service visit. I also have decided that I will NEVER buy another Volvo after the 4 or 5 $500 to $1500 repairs to keep this car going. It has been a headache and I would recommend to not buy a Volvo. More

Why buy a car at Portland Volvo Needing a new car, onto the Portland Volvo web site we went. I always had a VW, but maybe it was time for a change?? My son's friend has a Volvo as does a few friends of mine. After seeing so many to choose from, we decided to take the trip from Warren and drive one. We did have one in mind when got there. Yelena's friendly approach and quick answers to our questions made it easy to test drive one(she went with us and was so helpful in navigating a nice route). We had concerns about that car (she quickly had the info we wanted/needed to know about that car)but then saw another one that she again quickly got info on and we drove that one (without her but using her route) and I knew that was the one. Yelena had paperwork done up on both cars and from that we decided on the 2nd one. We had to wait for the final credit work to be done because of others also buying cars, but Yelena was always checking on us and processing what she could when it came to helping in paperwork. All went smoothly and the car was ready for us to take home, Yelena helping the whole time with my son and his friends (who came to check out the car). Overall a very good experience! More

A blue Saab for my wife. I had been looking for the Electric Blue with blue top Saab convertible for some time. I saw the car on Auto Trader and went to the Portland Volv I had been looking for the Electric Blue with blue top Saab convertible for some time. I saw the car on Auto Trader and went to the Portland Volvo web site. Had an online chat with CoDy Sequin, very easy to work with. After the online chat I called CoDy and we talked price, told they were a true price store. The price was fair so I gave him a credit card to hold the car. The next day I received on overnight pack from Jason Shaw, business manager, with all of the needed paper work with clear instructions on all I needed to do. Sent it back with the included overnight pack. In a few days I received it back with all I needed to collect the car. They held the car for a month so my wife and I could fly back from the other Portland, Portland Oregon. We were picked up at the airport and met by Ralph D'Angleo with everything ready to go, car was spotless, full of fuel. We left the next day for our cross country road trip. It seems that Portland Volvo and CoDy are geared up toward internet sales. Everything went off like clockwork. My son also picked up a Saab CV on the east coast from another dealer. His internet experience was not good. If I were closer to Portland Volvo I would be taking our blue Saab as well as our Saab Sportcombi to them for service and repair. Try them you will like them. I honestly am absolutely floored with how well I was treated at Portland Volvo. This was, by far, the absolute best car buying experience you could ever ask for. They took car of everything and made i treated at Portland Volvo. This was, by far, the absolute best car buying experience you could ever ask for. They took car of everything and made it so easy to come and pick up the car. I drove 11 hours to pick up my vehicle and they made me feel right at home the second I got there. I am definitely going to be purchasing my next car when I decide I need a new one. They are worth every second of that long 11 hour drive. They make you feel like they actually care about you and not about just getting you to buy a car. Most dealerships, you feel like you're a fish surrounded by sharks. But not here. Here they treat you like family, and help you in every way imaginable. So I highly highly highly recommend purchasing your next car from Portland Volvo! You will NOT be disappointed! More

I bought a 2013 S60 AWD. My Sales Person Ralph was wonderful to work with. He did not rush me, he went with me for 3 test drives and once the car was purchased he made sure that the car was ready and wonderful to work with.
