The only reason that I’m giving a 3 is because the service manager, Brandon stepped in and made things right! We initially dealt with Delphino. When challenged about the work performed and the price service manager, Brandon stepped in and made things right! We initially dealt with Delphino. When challenged about the work performed and the price he couldn’t provide a valid explanation (at least one that we were satisfied with) and hung up on my wife. Totally unprofessional! Brandon took over and control of the situation until the job was completed. He provided updates and his cell number if we had any questions. That’s how it should of been handled from the start! Thank you Brandon! More
Sutherlin Nissan service department did a great job with my service appointment, getting my vehicle in and out quickly and addressing all issues in a professional manner. my service appointment, getting my vehicle in and out quickly and addressing all issues in a professional manner. More
I had an issue with my brakes. It was going to take 2 hours, so Nissan courtesy driver took me to the the Mall. The service advisor called me when my car was ready. I asked if my car could be washed, so hours, so Nissan courtesy driver took me to the the Mall. The service advisor called me when my car was ready. I asked if my car could be washed, so they did. The car looked good and the brakes seem to be working properly. I would recommend this dealership. More

Nissan issued a recall on my 2015 Altima to replace a faulty hood latch at no cost to customers. Nissan also issued a separate notification for my 2015 Altima that “rear lower Suspension links may corrode and separate”, and though a recall was not issued, Nissan is extending the warranty for an additional 7 years on the suspension links. I made an appointment at Sutherlin Nissan for the latch recall, and asked if they could also take a look at the suspension links while it was in the shop. They said they would charge me an extra service charge (something like $140) to take a look at the suspension links. Since they were going to have my car in the shop anyhow, I thought it was a bit excessive to take 60 seconds to just look at the suspension links and see if they were corroded, cracked or separated. Strike One for the Nissan Service Dept. After all, if they did find a problem, they would make even more money fixing it. I told them to forget the suspension links. I was in a bit of a hurry to leave, so after waiting on my car for an hour and 15 minutes (they told me it would take from 45 minutes to an hour) I wandered over to the window looking out over the service area, and saw the mechanic checking the oil, and various other things that I hadn’t ask for. Fearing that they might be doing more service to the car (and charging me for it) than I wanted, I stopped a Service Advisor (Robert Sigman) coming out of the service area and asked him if he could check and make sure they weren’t doing service on my car that hadn’t been requested. Robert was not the Service Advisor I had been working with, but he was right there, so it was convenient to ask him. Robert was immediately confrontational, combative, and condescending. “Are you sure it’s your car?” he asked. Yes, I assured him it was my car. Robert then said that every car that came into the shop went through a 21? Point inspection, and that is what they were probably doing. So I sat back down to wait. And got to thinking. They are taking up my time to do a 21 point inspection that I didn’t request, but they can’t take 60 seconds while they’ve already got the car there on the lift to take a look at the rear suspension links? So I went to the service desk to see if I could reason with my Service Advisor and get them to look at the suspension links while they had it in there. My Service Advisor was busy with another customer, but Robert Sigman was not busy, and he asked if he could help. As soon as I started explaining by request, Robert started arguing. He wouldn’t even let me finish most of my sentences. I was finally was able to get my point across that since they were doing a multipoint inspection of the car that I didn’t want or have time for anyway, why couldn’t they help me out (and themselves too, since it might result in extra work for them) and just take a peek at the suspension links as part of their inspection and see if there was any corrosion or cracks? Robert point-blank LIED TO ME. ROBERT SAID YOU HAD TO DO A ROAD TEST TO CHECK OUT THE SUSPENSION LINKS, and would have to charge me a diagnostic fee. I told him that I knew that wasn’t true. You don’t need a road test to look at a link and see if it is cracked, corroded or separated. I then tried to make the point that I had noticed the car handling differently lately, and didn’t know if it was due to some new tires I’d bought, or whether it was due to perhaps the suspension links separating. ROBERT THEN DID A COMPLETE 180 AND SAID THAT YOU COULDN’T TELL IF THE SUSPENSION LINKS WERE COMPROMISED WITH A ROAD TEST. Robert then asked me who my assigned Service Advisor was, and “dismissed” me by telling me to work with him. Then Robert left the room. The service manager, Ian Mack got involved. Ian got the mechanic to take look at the suspension links and determined that there were no issues, and they didn’t charge me an additional “diagnostic fee”. In fact, Ian was so good as to take me out to the floor and let me see the suspension links myself and chat with the mechanic. Stellar service from Ian. And the mechanic obviously knew what he was doing too. So. Sutherlin will probably try to nickel and dime you to death with “diagnostic fees”, but I guess most dealers do. So no big deal there. And the mechanic seemed very competent and cordial. And Ian stepped up and offered some good customer service. Just stay away from Robert. More
Misleading advertising and bait and switch. They advertise a car for about $20,000 and then want to add more than $10,000 in fees and extras. This is as misleading as I have ever seen.
