This dealership’s service department is run exactly like a criminal enterprise. In order to get “marks” in their door, they offer “free” annual state inspections and “free” oil changes. Once they get yo a criminal enterprise. In order to get “marks” in their door, they offer “free” annual state inspections and “free” oil changes. Once they get you back in the door, the grift continues. Latest example: On 21 Dec 23, I take my son’s 2019 Toyota Tacoma in for the “free” annual state inspection. The guy who escorts me in gives me a free earful of religious xxxxxxxx. Then the service writer, Christian Morales, is a smart-xxx. Note: I was 4th vehicle in line 45 minutes before they open, because they won’t schedule these “free” things. Two hours plus of sitting around, they pull the cabin air filter, say it needs changing, and pull the engine air filter, and say that it needs changing (my son and I had changed both of those in the last six months; the vehicle has about 45k miles on it). Then they say that the power steering fluid is “dark” and recommend a system flush. Then they say that the battery terminals are corroded and recommend a battery terminal service. Where is any of that part of an annual state inspection sticker requirement? It’s not; it’s all a scam. They they say that the wiper blades need replacing; that’s xxxxxxxx, but you either do it or they reject the inspection. Then they charge you $63 to change the wiper blades. The service manager, Adam Brown, refuses to see you; refuses to answer his phone. DO NOT GO TO PRIORITY TOYOTA IN CHESAPEAKE, VA FOR ANY REASON. THEY ARE A TOTAL RIP-OFF. More
Chrissy couldn’t sell me a car because I wasn’t a local and she only had a few on the lot. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush no? Don’t recommend. and she only had a few on the lot. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush no? Don’t recommend. More
This rating goes for Priority Toyota of Hampton as well. On July 4th Priority Cheseapeake advertised a 2011 Toyota RAV4 for 6900. We called to ask if they'd honor that price on the 5th, and they said they couldn't be sure. Fine. We called the very next morning, July 5, and they said the car was no longer there. Back to our search, we see the exact same car (yes, same VIN) offered at Priority Hampton instead, still for 6900. We called. We were told that price was an error and that it should be priced at 12K. I'm not sure how it was an error given that we confirmed the price with Chesapeake the day prior. We were literally looking at the car and price while on the phone with the salesperson who was telling us the car was actually 12K. I took a photo with my phone to verify. Once again, I asked if they would honor the advertised price if we were able to go see it the same day. The manager agreed. An hour's drive later, we're put into the car for a test drive. The engine light is on, the car won't go more than 40 mph without issues, and we were told not to take it on the interstate. We were then told it needed to be serviced to the tune of about 6K, and they were going to pull it. I'm not sure what's going on with these 2 dealerships. Did they not know the car needed to be serviced when it was at Chesapeake? Did they know when they allowed it off the lot for a test drive? Do the managers, sales team and internet team not communicate effectively? For two hours' time and a waste of gas money, we walked out of there with nothing. If I am ever in the market for a Toyota, you can bet I will go to a more professional and ethical dealership. More
BEWARE - Priority Toyota is adding OVER MSRP markups to new vehicles. Don't be an idiot and pay over MSRP. They lost my business forever! I have spoken with 3 people this week who had the same experience a new vehicles. Don't be an idiot and pay over MSRP. They lost my business forever! Customer service was wonderful I was in and out. I also appreciate the experience I had when buying my vehicle here. They can be pretty busy, but they have good service. I also appreciate the experience I had when buying my vehicle here. They can be pretty busy, but they have good service. More
