I would like to leave a review regarding our experience at Puyallup Mazda or Milam Mazda. My daughter told me to check out Puyallup Mazda because her mother bought a 1987 Mazda 323 and her husband purchase at Puyallup Mazda or Milam Mazda. My daughter told me to check out Puyallup Mazda because her mother bought a 1987 Mazda 323 and her husband purchased a 2012 Mazda 3. She bought a 2008 Mazda 3 and a 2018 Mazda 3. All these Mazdas were purchased from Milam or Puyallup Mazda. They are definitely a Puyallup Mazda family therefore that’s why she referred my friend and I to Puyallup Mazda. We received a call from Angello, the sales manager at Puyallup Mazda. He said he had a 2018 Nissan Rogue on his lot for my friend to test drive. The non negotiable features were that the SUV had to have an in dash CD player and AWD. So I drove my friend to Puyallup Mazda in hopes of getting him a reliable used SUV with those components. My friend test drove the car and was happy with the SUV. So we went upstairs to discuss the price of the SUV. I asked Angello for a Carfax so I could check the history for accidents, oil changes, brake replacements, etc. He gave excuses why he couldn’t give me the Carfax. A red flag went up in my mind. Why was he refusing to give me a Carfax? He did give my friend senior and military discounts which helped to bring the price of the SUV to my price point. Angello ran my friend’s credit and found out my friend had an excellent credit score and told us the credit loan rate would be 8%. Another red flag went up in my mind. How could you charge an 8% loan rate with excellent credit? I told my friend that he couldn’t afford that rate so we started to leave. I told Angello that my friend could only afford a credit rate of under 6%. So after my insistence for the lower rate Angello conferred with the finance department and brought it down to 5.99%. We then went to the finance department and completed all the paperwork to purchase the SUV. A few days later my daughter looked at his car. She noticed that the quarter panels were not aligned properly so she thought the SUV was involved in an accident. So I asked Angello for the Carfax and after much prodding he finally gave me the Carfax. Then I realized why he would not give me the Carfax when I originally wanted it. The SUV was involved in 2 separate incidents one year apart. If I had known that I would have told my friend to look for another SUV. My daughter was very embarrassed by Angello’s apparent failure to be truthful and transparent about the condition of the SUV. She referred my friend and I to Milam or Puyallup Mazda because of the great service her mother, her husband and she received while purchasing Mazdas at that dealership. She told me that she was sorry for referring us to the dealership. I asked Angello when my daughter would receive her referral check and he said it would be after a Friday because that’s the day that the checks are processed for mailing. Since then I have sent 5 texts to Angello’s cell phone requesting the status of her referral check. His reply was “Yes, I will look into it” after my second text. I sent 3 more texts but to no avail. No texts from Angello. I would think that a sales manager manages things like customer’s requests and would answer them promptly. And that he would want to impress the referring customer so she could refer more possible customers to him making revenue for him and his company. But apparently he doesn’t feel that way. Does the customer always come first regarding Angello’s sales practices? Does Angello uphold the Puyallup Mazda brand? I don’t think so therefore I cannot recommend Puyallup Mazda to anyone who wants to purchase a car. I feel his performance or lack thereof deserves 2 out of 5 stars. More

While the initial buying experience had some frustrations, the dealership ultimately made it right by putting me into a brand new vehicle I’m thrilled with. Austin Dinsmore and David Patel were especially understanding and went above and beyond to help resolve things, which I truly appreciated. All in all, I’m satisfied with my purchase and my experience, and I’m grateful for how things turned out in the end. More

As a woman, I was hesitant about the typical car buying experience, but Chris made the process feel easy, comfortable, and pressure-free. He was honest, kind, and incredibly positive, even on what I know was a hectic last day of the month. He took the time to explain everything clearly and never once made me feel rushed or pushed into a decision. Because of how genuine and helpful he was, I’ve already referred a family member to him and will continue to recommend him to anyone looking for a straightforward and respectful car buying experience. Amazing experience once again with Puyallup Mazda and Chris Wodjenski. I upgraded my 2024 Mazda CX-5 Select to the 2025 CX-5 Carbon Edition.
