It is our understanding that the vehicle has been looked at by certified Subaru mechanics and that possibly your extended warranty on the vehicle will assist in the expense of repairs. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist you with your purchase.

Thank you for bringing the situation to our attention. I have sent on your comments to the store GM and Service Director for review. We will do fact finding on our end and get back to you soon. It is my understanding from your comments that Rico stated that, "he believed they were done". It sounds like he was not certain and should have confirmed it with the service department. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and will be in touch. Krista Morrison Internet Sales Manager Rapid Chevrolet Cadillac

Looking back, i now see why he used that terminology. It insinuates that they have been done, yet clears you from responsibility. You must understand that this was still misleading information, and I am stuck paying for a pickup that I am unable to even drive due to the nature of such a costly repair. Your sales personal should not be allowed to use such open phrases when being asked such a specific question. That is what some would consider trickery, and shady business tactics.

I want to furthermore add that other than the problem with the injectors, the rest of my experience at Rapid Chevrolet was pleasant. With there being issues with what I asked very specifically about, and on such a major comppnent. You must understand how that can leave a bad taste in your mouth so to speak. You also must understand the frustration of being reminded on a monthly basis that I was given misleading information, when makng a payment on a vehicle that is rendered useless to me. I have been a life long Chevrolet pickup fan, and had hoped for a much better first time experience with a dealer that proudly brandishes the name Chevrolet.

Thank you for the comments. We do absolutely sympathize with you and the situation. Truth be known, that truck had a recall on the injectors and the previous owner should have brought the truck in for repair. That is why when reviewing all the notes, I believe that Rico thought he was being truthful in implying the work had been done. The error was in diligence. He should have looked up the warranty history to make sure the previous customer actually brought it in for the injector work. I have spoken with the service director to confirm the warranty information and am waiting to hear back from the GM, Mark Kostboth on any details he can provide. Please tell me, what is it that you want to do? How can we help you?

I would be very satisfied if the pickup had new injectors as I had assumed they were when entering into the purchase agreement. It would mean alot to get these faulty factory injectors replaced with all remanufactured Bosch injectors. Either that or purchase the pickup back. I would just be happy to be able to enjoy my pickup. Wholesale on this vehicle was $12,500, I'm assuming your company purchased it minimum of 1-2k below wholesale as a yrade in, and I paid $14,600. There should be room there to make the repairs without cutting into your profit. By doing so, you will have restored my utmost confidence in Rapid Chevrolet, and I would be more than happy to not just retract any negative reviews, but also tell people about the extra mile that Rapid Chevrolet had gone. Guaranteeing a return customer in years to come.

The GM will be in tomorrow and I will go over your preferred options and get back to you. In an effort to be transparent, we paid $13,000 for the truck in April of this year, selling it to you for $14,500 plus the $99 document fee. The retail price was $15,988 so we sold it at a fair price for the miles and condition leaving us very little room for negotiating. It has been 4 months since the purchase date and this is the first management has heard of this issue. The GM was unaware as was myself. We send out a letter and email after each vehicle purchase to make sure everything went well and wish that you had reached out to one of us at that time. That being said, the situation has been affecting you since the purchase and I'm glad that you have now chosen to use a professional outlet, like DealerRater, to converse over the situation in an attempt to find a solution that will work both for you and for the company. We have had a couple customers in the past post negative feedback to online review sites in an attempt to hurt the dealership reputation. Those destructive actions make us less likely to want to fix anything. A phone call or email is more appropriate. We appreciate your maturity in trying to remedy the situation in a professional and mature fashion. It is my hope that we can work something out.

With all due respect that is innaccurate. Just over a month after I made the purchase I contacted Rico about the injector issue. This is when I came into your service department to try and find some kind of warranty on what were supposed to be new injectors. Records found nothing. I went to Pat Doyle in person and brought it to his attention that I was mislead during the purchase process. I asked if there was anything he could do for me due to the situation. Pat said he would look into it, gave me a call a few days later and told me that you would fix them for $5,000. This upset me because that is what it would cost normally. So contrary to what you have been told, this is not the first time I have brought up this issue. It is just that there was no effort from either Rico or Pat to make it a pleasant experience. In other words, once the deal was done, I feel customer service was non-existant. I would rather not slander your business if we can vome to an agreement. I know that costumer reviews, word of mouth, and references play a huge part in a business' reputation and sales. You can ask Rico, this is not the first time that this has been brought up. There was just no effort on your end to come to a fair comprimise.

Rapid Chevrolet Cadillac responded

It was Pat's day off yesterday so we met this morning to go over your situation. Rico no longer works for the company. Based on your statement, "I would rather not slander your business if we can come to an agreement" we must close your request immediately. It is against business policy to engage in black mail. I am sorry for your situation and know that we would have been able to come to an agreement that worked for everyone had your position not taken a threatening turn.

Sep 02, 2015 -

ZackKnight responded

I understand you have company policies and am aware of why you take a stand. I'm sorry that we could not come to an agreement.
