Very Happy Trade Up First let me say, I love the Kia Soul. I had purchased a previously owned 2012 Kia Soul just 6 months ago from a McHenry county dealer and never felt First let me say, I love the Kia Soul. I had purchased a previously owned 2012 Kia Soul just 6 months ago from a McHenry county dealer and never felt quite right about the transaction. I had been mulling over a trade up to a 2014 Kia Soul since I had made the original purchase. As luck would have it, I know someone that works in the parts division of Raymond and he recommended I stop to chat with the sales people at Raymond Kia. I really can't thank him or Troy Crippen enough for the feeling of satisfaction I had leaving Raymond Kia today. I didn't feel pressured into something someone else wanted me to have, I felt like Troy wanted to know what I was thinking and feeling, he continued to convey a sincere regard for my confidence in him and Raymond Kia, and I might add, I'm not that easy to win over. I did trade up to the 2014 Kia Soul, he knew that's what I really wanted and he worked ambitiously to make it happen all within the budget I had set. As I left with my new Kia, Troy made sure I realized that Raymond Kia's commitment to me did not end with the signature on the paperwork, but would continue with a superior customer service plan that even includes free car washes!! They knew every answer to every question and then some. They worked extremely hard to put the best and most affordable plan together for me. I will never be able to thank Troy Crippen enough. Excellent and truthful experience. Also Norm Rich working with me along with Troy, so diligently and efficiently. I cannot believe the wonderful experience I had there at Raymond's. Top Notch Experience!!! As I am writing this review I am smiling as I am over the moon with my brand new Kia Soul that is sitting in my driveway! This morning I was driving a 2011 Kia Soul and now I have a brand new 2014 Kia Soul that is exactly what I wanted but did not really know that this morning. My husband and I were running some errands today and on a whim decided to stop at a Kia dealer in Mchenry to check out the newer Souls. I have loved my Soul since the day we purchased it brand new in 2011 and wanted to see what they have changed in the newer ones. I was excited at the time but that excitement quickly faded and I ended up leaving that dealership in a not so good mood and with no desire to look anymore today. My husband and I had to run to Antioch for a final errand. As we were driving I asked my husband if we could stop and Chevy Kia in Antioch for a look. He was not to receptive at first but we did. Boy am I glad we did!!! When we pulled in we were greeted by Troy Crippen. Troy was very inviting and very down to earth, this I liked right away. We knew exactly what type of care we wanted to look at. With no hesitation and no run around Troy listened to us and took us right to the vehicles we were looking for. It only took a few minutes for us to decide which vehicle we wanted. We took a test drive and no sooner did we get back and the paperwork was rolling. I have to say my mood lightened and the day was looking up. Troy really new his stuff! He was straight forward and yet funny. He took the time to really listen to us and did not try to sell us something other than what we wanted. He treated us like people instead of a money maker and that goes a long way with me. We also worked with Robert Kajdanowski to finalize everything. Robert was no different! Professional yet understanding and extremely nice and sincere. He worked with us to give us a great deal and never did I feel pressured. Not to mention he also made us laugh. I have now purchased 2 cars from Raymond Chevy and 2 from Raymond Kia both of Antioch and I must say these 2 guys made this buying experience the best one I yet. I would recommend Kia of Antioch to anyone looking for a new car and who wants to be happy with there whole experience. Thank you to everyone that was involved in the process! When Brian Martin was initially rude to me on the Chevy side, I should have walked away then, but my wife showed up and said she was interested in looking at the Kia side. Here is how the story went: On side, I should have walked away then, but my wife showed up and said she was interested in looking at the Kia side. Here is how the story went: On Monday the 17th of March, my wife and I came to Raymond Kia for the following reasons: 1. To have both of our vehicles appraised (2006 Pontiac G6/2012 Chevy Equinox) 2. To determine if based on VALUE if we were able to refinance the 2012 Chevy Equinox to save money on the current note of $656 with a 12.9% interest rate or see about just trading both vehicles and landing a deal there. As Don worked the numbers, we advised him and he knew that on our current vehicle that we were at 12.9% and that we were not looking to go above that but if possible, we wanted to go below that. He advised Bob that two banks accepted the deal. On one vehicle, the note was to be $550 and on the other vehicle, the note was to be $670. The tradeoff here was that we would be saving at least $200 bucks a month on one of the vehicles because it is a hybrid. Hence when you look at it, in all actuality, we would end up paying approximately $500 per vehicle. Still not great but the good news as told by Don and Bob, we could refinance in a year as Kia’s hold their value and we would have less negative equity per car. My wife and I talked about it and we said let’s give it a shot based on the conversation we had earlier with Bob and Don regarding a REASONABLE interest rate. After being at your dealership for more than seven hours, we finally went through finance quickly as I had to go to work and my wife had to grab our girls from the sitter. As we went through the paperwork at home, we couldn’t help but notice that on one vehicle, the interest rate is 13.29% and on the other vehicle, the interests rate is 17%. We wanted to get ahead of this thing as it was not even 24 hours since the deal was done. The next day (March, 18th, 2014), I contacted Bob but he was off. That same day, I contacted Great Lakes Credit union and they stated that since my wife was a member, that they could review the loan and see if they can provide a better interest rate. The rep from Great Lakes Credit union contacted the finance department but didn’t receive a return phone call. The very next day (March 19th , 2014), I spoke with Bob and advised him that we “MUST do better in terms of the interest rate. I even told him that Great Lakes Credit Union was trying to reach the finance department. He said that he would advise the finance department to return their phone call. Today (March 20th, 2014) my wife reached out to Great Lakes Credit Union and they have yet to receive a return phone call from Jose or the deal. She was told that “Jose” would be contacting them and sending over the paperwork so that they can work on getting us a better rate. Jose never sent over the paperwork. By the time my wife discovered this, the credit union was closing and Jose had left for the day. Guys here is what I would tell you. This is not acceptable. As stated before, I totally get it that you guys are in the business to sell cars and make money. However, if there is an opportunity to take care of a “REPEAT CUSTOMER” and offer them the best deal possible, you should work to do so. Keep your promises and do what you say you’re going to do. If you can’t, then be honest and upfront with the customer. If Jose wasn’t going to send over the paperwork to Great Lakes Credit union, then he should of just said so. At the end of the day, all we want is the best deal possible. This can’t possibly be the highest level of service you can offer. Making money is a great thing but making repeat customers is even GREATER! Bob Skinner is a really nice guy but to sit in a dealership for the amount of time we did and still get screwed in the end is not being courteous to me. When they finally did submit the “ “ paperwork, they didn’t submit it through the cuddle system but instead, they faxed over a bill of sale! As of right now, my wife and I are working diligently to try and get the credit union to rework the numbers and get us a better rate. It’s sad that we had to sit in a dealership the WHOLE DAY, just to still try and work afterwards. We’ve gotten calls from Kim, Don and Bob, but not ONE TIME did anyone offer us the option of bringing back the paperwork/deal and work better numbers for us. Bob said-“Oh I want you to know that our finance department keep working with the banks to see if they can get you a better rate”. This is a bunch of CRAP! More

Erica and Raymond Kia gave me a great price and then went WELL beyond the expected to make sure I was perfectly happy with the car. Erica was a great and knowledgable sales person. When the car developed some problems before I picked it up, they made sure those problems were corrected before I picked it up. Erica and Raymond Kia restored my faith in used car dealers and dealerships! It was a great overall experience and I highly recommend Erica Foster and the Raymond Kia family! More

I purchased the Cadenza this evening from Sol and Don at Kia. I was blown away by their service and attention to detail. I can't thank them enough for the quality service, class, honesty, knowledge, and support. This was by far the most stress free and hands down the quickest and easiest purchase in my life. I went to several other dealerships that may have offered similar money on my trade, but they did not offer the pricing and my salesman Sol's expertise, class, and knowledge. Sol was the deciding factor in my purchase of this Cadenza from Raymond. i have never worked with a better salesman. He was genuine and sincere in establishing his customer relationship with my wife and I. He was great with my kids too. See you in 5 years Sol. I actually like the way Kia is heading with their new cars so stay there awhile. These guys need to promote you to sales manager soon. You really made this an exceptional experience for us. The cadenza may have 7/10ths of the performance of my traded in BMW 335i, but the cadenza's smoothness, technology, features, beautiful interior, and of course the warranty blows it away. The car is gorgeous, alot smoother and quieter, and handled the snow like a champ. this was a no brainer purchase. I am not looking back on my trade. I can't believe the relaxed atmosphere and absolute zero pressure i felt, especially with two sugared up children sitting on my lap while i was dealing with financing. Finance guy was great too. Great rate, great offer on extended warranty. I have been to so many dealerships throughout my life that carry high end badges on their cars and they just cannot compare with the class and fairness these gentleman displayed at Raymond. Sol is a class act and was the reason I ditched Fields and Perillo and even Arlington Heights and Libertyville Kia for Raymond. Don was extremely professional and welcoming and did a great job on coming off his price too, and i really appreciate that. He even offered to let me have the car for a few days before the purchase to see if I really liked it. I didn't think anyone did that anymore-but he did. Nice job guys. You really do have a quality organization. The ride home in 5+ inches of snow was a breeze. Passed by a lot of cars in ditches on Rt 83 on the trip home. Troy Crippen was the salesperson that worked with me to find my dream car. I explained a little bit about my lifestyle and what I was looking for. Boy, was he a great listener! He showed me a few options of different cars they had in stock but the very first one was the perfect match. Troy was great at not only explaining the great features the car had to offer but also the benefits they would have on my life. In short I would definitely buy and refer friends/family to buy from Kia Raymond again and specifically ask for Troy very time! More
