Asked them to take a look at the seat belt while my car was in service since it’s hard to put it in. He said it would take 3-5 days to diagnose the problem and wouldn’t provide a loaner car. Pros- Got appointment quickly, you provided a ride home for me, you allowed me to keep my car there for a few extra days as I was out of town and couldn't pick it up Cons- Expensive "diagnostic" for eng for me, you allowed me to keep my car there for a few extra days as I was out of town and couldn't pick it up Cons- Expensive "diagnostic" for engine light ($185), unprofessional estimate (total scribbled on a parts list- no clarity on what parts cost vs labor), my rep Joe didn't seem to understand as much as the guy beside him who told him how to answer my questions, when I called to ask if I could have a ride pick me up around 11:30am, I got a VERY snippy answer about maybe they could and maybe they couldn't - they don't schedule pickups and drop offs, so I had to wait for my husband to be off from work, and my car has two deep scratches on the driver's side door that were not there before. Given the experience with the serious engine trouble (cam shaft sensor) that started my visit with this dealership- which seems related to the engine trouble that has plagued Hyundai, the fact that I was charged $185 for said trouble to be diagnosed AFTER I spent $1350 with my mechanic clearing out the codes before the camshaft one appeared and the $4900 undetailed possibly shady estimate I received from Red McCombs Hyundai Service, I am switching brands altogether for my next purchase. If your brand is hurting from what they are getting wrong in manufacturing, the dealership needs to go above and beyond to instill confidence for buyers in sales and service. My sales experience with Max in 2018 was great, but now that is long gone and my vehicle is costing me a lot of money. Service is not going above and beyond at Red McCombs Hyundai. More
