We waited a long time to get an upgrade to the anti-theft software, but the staff was personable and professional. I've dealt with many dealerships in my lifetime, and Red McCombs gets an average rating -- One major thing I don't like is how they add packages on your car without you wanting or approving of it. You'll get ceramic tint, wash tub for a year and unlimited nitrogen tire refills, but you will be charged $1,400.00 on top of the MSRP. What if you don't want your windows tinted or prefer to do it yourself. The nitrogen machine is already paid for by the dealership, how much does it really cost to fill your tires with nitrogen?? Lastly the wash tub membership is $420.00 a year and you can renew it at $368.00 after the 1st year. So the ceramic tint must be real expensive along with the nitrogen to equal $1,400.00. I had a friend who I recommended to go to Red McCombs and they are going to charge him $595.00 for some add-ons. After going back and forth I realized that just going to Steele Hyundai would be a better option for him because there is no add-on bs and you just pay MSRP. Don't be fooled into buying the add-ons the dealership places on your car, its a scam and not needed and happens at most dealerships in San Antonio. My salesman Ricardo was very good, simple and the finance man Oscar was good as well. In the end I got all three packages added on to my car for free. More

I came in to look at the Sonata. You had just the one I wanted in stock. My salesman didn’t play the “keep me waiting game” while he found the car on the lot or needed to confer with the sales manager on purchase agreement. It was a transparent easy process with no surprises when the final out the door price was presented. The only reason I didn’t give five stars was the construction that is going on for the expansion. The dealership was hard to find. The entrance and signage was lacking for where to go. I nearly drove off after my second pass around the block to find new car sales entrance. I’m glad I didn’t. The buying experience itself was one of the best I’ve had. Ricardo, my salesman, was a stand up guy and very customer focused. I appreciated that. It’s a rarity it the car sales world. The follow up after purchase was also appreciated. I didn’t feel like after the sale I was yesterday’s sales statistic. I live in the Houston area and drove to San Antonio for this purchase. My only wish is that Red McCombs opens up a dealership West of Houston near me. If their service is as good as their sales it’s a home run. More
