Reliance Nissan Service Department (Alvin, TX) I had a very disappointing experience with the service department at Reliance Nissan in Alvin. When I dropped off my vehicle on Friday, I spoke with the serv very disappointing experience with the service department at Reliance Nissan in Alvin. When I dropped off my vehicle on Friday, I spoke with the service advisor and made it clear that I already had the codes pulled. I asked if their $180 “diagnosis” meant they would actually diagnose the problem and provide a solution, not just plug in a computer. He assured me that their Nissan-certified technicians would do a complete diagnosis, not just read codes. By Monday morning, only 20 minutes after they opened, I received a call saying they had “bad news”—my transmission needed to be replaced. Along with that, they recommended repairs for a lower ball joint and motor mount wear. I asked what actual diagnosis was performed on the transmission, because what I got was exactly what we discussed on Friday—just a code read. No mention of testing solenoids, internal components, or anything beyond plugging it in and reading the code. When I spoke to the service manager about this, he doubled down and told me “plugging it in” is a diagnosis. That is absolutely not true. Code reading is free at any AutoZone, most dealerships, and even Houston Nissan just 15 minutes away down 517. Reliance Nissan charges $180 for the exact same thing you can get elsewhere for free. I live in Pearland and wanted to keep my business local, but this experience was unacceptable. If you want real diagnostic work done and not just a code reader result with a big repair recommendation, I highly recommend you avoid Reliance Nissan’s service department. After my experience with Reliance Nissan in Alvin, Texas, I originally wrote this review above on google. Shortly after posting it, I received no less than 10 missed calls from Robert, the service manager at Reliance Nissan. When we finally spoke, he told me that after I left, he looked further into my concern and wanted to provide me with a more detailed diagnosis of my vehicle’s transmission. It turned into a decent, professional discussion that I appreciated—and one I would have expected from the beginning from his service writer. Before our conversation ended, Robert expressed his concern with my review. I explained to him that I felt it was an honest review, and certainly worth the $180 I paid for their diagnostic service. At that point, Robert reminded me that he knew I owned my own small used car dealership. He went on to say that since we are both in the business, we both know how much reviews matter. Again, I told him that I was a paying customer at Reliance Nissan, and that I left an honest $180 review of the service I received. Robert continued to emphasize how much reviews meant to dealerships—including mine—and added that anyone, even he, could write a review on my business. Maybe I’m being overprotective, but to me, that felt like a threat. I’m not too worried about it because at my business we under-promise and over-deliver, but I want anyone reading this to know: you should never feel pressured or bullied by an employee at a dealership into changing or softening your honest experience. That was a very long drive, however, I am so happy I did it. Here is where you get the deets. I am absolutely blown away at the incredible interaction I had at this dealership. I have never had such a wonderful car buying experience! Not even kidding. Negotiations were painless, communication was on point and I was treated respectfully every step along the way! Pablo, my sales person, you won’t find a more honest, upfront and incredibly gracious car salesman. He kept his word and got me the price he and his Sales Manager Steven promised. Then I met Chuck. He is the gentlemen who walked me through all the warranty and “car stuff”. I honestly wish I could go snatch him up and bring him home with me. He and I shared some great conversation in the crazy short time I was there. What an absolute sweetheart he is. Then off to the Finance Manager. Typically, these are the ones who irritate your soul. But not Naaman. Another absolute sweetheart. He took the time to go through every single number and explain every single dollar, without catching even an ounce of irritation. He was so pleasant to work with and talk to. He reminded me so much of my little brother. This industry is a tough one. It’s not normal that every single person you encounter like this makes you walk away feeling not only good about your purchase, but also like you made new friends. I can, with everything in me, recommend Reliance Nissan in Alvin Texas if you’re in the market. I had TWO other dealerships tell me there is no possible way this deal would happen, it would be bait and switch, but I’m here to tell you right here, right now, the deal happened and I am 100% pleased with my experience. Thank you, Pablo, Chuck, Naaman and Steven. More

I inquired about purchasing a vehicle from this dealership after seeing a Facebook post stating that the vehicle had 29k miles on it. I spoke to Juan Gomez who made the post which was the salesman dealership after seeing a Facebook post stating that the vehicle had 29k miles on it. I spoke to Juan Gomez who made the post which was the salesman I conducted my traction with. I drove over 3 hours to trade in my vehicle for the posted vehicle only to get there and notice the vehicle had 49k on it which is 20k more than advertised. After a heated conversation I went ahead with the purchase and although I went ahead with the purchase the post service experience continued to be just as bad. Juan told me he was going to get the vehicle cleaned and filled up with gas. We finished a little around 8pm that day and before leaving I noticed that he only put the vehicle on half a tank. I called him immediately but it went to voicemail so I sent him a text. He responds through text the next morning and says his boss only gave him $30 for gas. I also noticed that the tools that come standard with jeeps to remove the doors and roof were missing and asked him about sending it to me. He notified me that his boss said it doesn’t come with the jeep and if it’s not in there there is nothing that they can do. Overall this experience was the worst experience I’ve encountered at any dealership I have visited. The salesman is a direct reflection of this dealership’s professionalism and I highly suggest avoiding this dealership. More
I purchased a black 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan from the reliance Nissan dealer ship in Alvin TX for $16,100. The purchase was made in May 2024. The day after purchase I returned to the dealership to have t reliance Nissan dealer ship in Alvin TX for $16,100. The purchase was made in May 2024. The day after purchase I returned to the dealership to have the stereo system fixed. Within the first month of purchase I had to get the both front left and right ABS censors fixed, Camshaft, and Camshaft Sensors. After I fixed those things another round of issues arose with the fuel injector, and cooling system. At that point I went back to the dealership and unfortunately the systems where hacked so there was nothing that could’ve been done. They told me that they would reach out to me when everything was fixed to trade me out of the vehicle but never contacted. I then chose to fix that round of issues. A month later my engine completely failed and the car broke down in the middle of the highway. I was towed to the nearest shop and told that I need to replace the entire engine. Issue after issue has occurred with this vehicle and when I returned to the dealership I was told they couldn’t do anything for me and it was out of their hands. this has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. If I could leave 0 star review I would. More
