I took my car in for oil and filter change. When I got home, and shut the car off, a strong odor of burning oil came from under the car. In inspecting it, I found that the crossbar that was u When I got home, and shut the car off, a strong odor of burning oil came from under the car. In inspecting it, I found that the crossbar that was under the oil filter was all covered in oil. I checked further, the new filter wasn’t leaking, nor did I find any other leaks. My assumption is that clean up after removing the old filter wasn’t done thoroughly, thus the old oil that spilled splattered under the car onto the exhaust as I drove home. I ended up taking a garden hose and soap to wash under the car to remove any residual oil. Please be a bit more careful and thorough in cleaning up after an oil change. Besides that, the experience was average. More
