Mandatory dealer package needs to be customizable. Definitely a profit center and not everyone wants everything in the package. Just be honest, we require a package that is X $. Have a pick list and you might even sell more than the package. Choice is king these days. Don't offer a trade evaluation if you knowingly are going to offer significantly less. Almost a bait and switch and leaves a bad taste in the consumer's mouth. Both are very old school dealership practices. Consumers have lots of choices, you should win on fairness and integrity. More
