I went in for a routine oil change. Robin was my service contact. He informed me that my car was due for an M1 along with the oil change. He gave me a realistic time frame and I went in t o the waiting area contact. He informed me that my car was due for an M1 along with the oil change. My Wahlin explained the problems with my mother-in-law's car in detail. The entire steering column had been replaced at no cost, however, steering instability persisted. Bill explained that after replacing the steering column, the computer code recommendation was to replace the steering drive motor. The car is out of warranty, however, it has less than 25,000 miles. I asked Bill if he could request an exception from GM since the car has low milage & since the electric steering design had issues. Bill talked GM into paying for replacement of the electric steering motor saving my mother-in-law $500+ that she couldn't afford. He also called my mother-in-law 24 hours after the repair to confirm that all is well. More
