My experience was terrible! First of all, they conveniently "lost" my registration. While the sales person was "looking" for it the sales manager was going back and forth with offers which seemed conveniently "lost" my registration. While the sales person was "looking" for it the sales manager was going back and forth with offers which seemed to get worse each time. After hours of haggling I finally agreed to purchase the vehicle at agreed terms. However finance dept completely changed the deal. I fell into a packing scam! Unbeknownst to me, the deal that we agreed to was in fact an inflated figure. The finance guy then added all kinds of extras to come to the agreed amount. I did not receive a verbal explanation of all the terms/forms, so after being at the dealership 6 hours I signed a bad deal! I will never ever even think about buying another car from this dealership again!!! More
I will never go back... First time I washed my truck, the windshield leaked a ton of water inside as the windshield wasn't sealed at all.. It took two days to get that fixed. Stereo was bad, they held my tru windshield leaked a ton of water inside as the windshield wasn't sealed at all.. It took two days to get that fixed. Stereo was bad, they held my truck hostage for ten days with no calls to let me know anything.... I finally got fed up and showed up at the dealership and took my Silverado back. The sales bozo lied about tons of stuff... During the buying process I kept getting hammered by tons of sales idiots... If I wasn't in need of the truck at that price I would have ran screaming from the place... One word for these Bozos... Ass Clowns. More
The experience at John L. Sulivan Chevrolet was one of the worst I have experienced. My husband and I have purchased 11 cars in the past 30 years from various dealerships. I have never experienced such a the worst I have experienced. My husband and I have purchased 11 cars in the past 30 years from various dealerships. I have never experienced such a high level of distrust and ineptness in responding to customer needs. After several attempts to explain what our bottom line was, they consistently came back to us with one bad offer after another. Interestingly enough they seemed to miraculously fine new discounts and rebates and call in "special" favors each time they returned to give us another unacceptable offer. We were not purchasing one of the dealerships low end vehicles. We were purchasing a $53,000 Silverado Diesel. Our credit rating was very good and they could still not find an acceptable interest rate. Every time they offered a better interest rate, the special discounts and rebates seemed to become unavailable. We did end up purchasing the vehicle after much haggling, however, I will not recommend John L. Sullivan to friends and family and will discourage anyone I know from dealing with their un-customer friendly environment. More
I am from out of state and found a used Pontiac on their website. I contacted their Internet Sales Dept. and was told to fill out a preapproval which I did that very morning. We corresponded all day and las website. I contacted their Internet Sales Dept. and was told to fill out a preapproval which I did that very morning. We corresponded all day and last e-mail I got from them was at 4 pm telling me they were still waiting for the approval but when it did come back when would I be able to come down to the dealership. I told them I could come the next day. The next morning I received another e-mail telling me that they were still waiting for word from the bank and they had sold the car that I was trying to get financed. I was never told that I needed to physically be there for them to hold the car, nor was I given the option of putting a deposit on the car. Typical used car salesmen. More
