My mother and i came in not looking to buy, but we walked out with a 2013 Elantra. This was due solely to the spectacular service we received from Manning. My wife and I went in only to check out the veloster, i didn't want any help just wanted to look at the vehicle. A salesman showed me where it was and then came Tom R as he is the owner of the place trying didn't want any help just wanted to look at the vehicle. A salesman showed me where it was and then came Tom R as he is the owner of the place trying to convince me to run my credit after I repeated numerous times that I was just browsing and that I had been turned down at many dealers and could not get financing. He gave me the whole story how the sale hundreds of cars a day and they can ask the bank for a favor and get me approved. At last I gave in and agreed to run the credit and 5 minutes he comes back and tells me that I am approved and just pulls out a random car from the back lot(hyundai accent)for me to test drive. Remember we went in wanting a veloster but he tells me i can only get approved for an accent which the one he showed me was the same price. He was just pushing a car they had there at the moment. We take it for a test drive and it was ok but since he said I was getting approved we were going to take an accent but not in a beige interior like he had showed us, this is where it all went downhill. I told him we wanted black interior and he tells me Im getting you into a car what does it matter what color it is just take what we can give you. I responded by saying im still going to be paying for the car so I want to pay for something that I like. He had an attitude and just walked away without saying a word and just left us there with the salesman even he didn't know what to do next, to his credit the salesman tried to make the best of the situation and tried finding another car for us. He found us something a little better but not 100 percent what we wanted. Then came time to talk numbers, now Tom R. is back he wants me to put down 2k and pay $450 a month for a 17k dollar car which is just insane and I tell him there is no way I was doing that, once again very rudely he tells me he's doing me a favor and basically to suck it up. I said no and i was willing to pay up to 300 a month. He says let me work some numbers ill be right back. 45 minutes later I see him outside talking to other people and see us sitting there but does not acknowledge us at all even the poor salesman sitting with us was once again quite confused. I told the salesman it was taking too long and I had somewhere to be so he went to ask what was going on he comes back with no info. 15 minutes later another sales person comes to the desk to tell me about a dealer in brooklyn where he can get me finaced for a vehicle and I tell him that's nice but I live in NJ and thats too far plus we already had an approval and that's why we were still sitting there. He tells me no that's why im here that I was never approved and he can send to that place in Brooklyn. Now I am upset that this suppose to be sales manager Tom R. made me waste 2 and half hours of out time to lie to us and have us just sitting there with no care in the world after talking down to us the few times he did speak to us. As we were leaving he walked by I saw him and asked him why did he waste all my time and lie to me about financing. At front of all their customers he yelled and said i try to help you but you don't want to pay go get more money than come tak to me, again talking down and yelling directly at me in the middle of the sales floor. Do not do business with this dealer because they will you chew you done and try and get you to pay a premium for any car on that lot. I also left a message in jim grace's mailbox which is the executive sales manager to complain about Tom and guess who got to the message and try to call me back to cover up none other than TOM himself. A week later I went to maxon hyundai and that same night I took home a brand new elantra for the price I was looking for. More
