This review is long overdue, but I had to come here to write about my car buying experience. I was looking for an Altima Coupe with specific options: navigation, sunroof, etc. I found the car of my dreams on Meadowlands Nissan's website on a Monday; however, I am stationed in MA and I wouldn't be home in NYC until that weekend. I called to see if the car was still available and it was. I was worried that someone would buy the car before me, but Manny Vargas was kind enough to accept a deposit so that the car would be held for me until I could come in for a test drive. When I arrived, Manny was extremely patient with me and made sure that I was given a good deal. The only thing that made the time go by slower was that he was so busy helping other customers, which is something I can't be upset about. Although I had a very low pre-approved interest rate from my bank, Manny helped me get a loan through Nissan with an even lower rate. During the paperwork session, Anthony made the process seamless and explained each and every warranty option that was available. Since I was purchasing the car out of state, one the biggest selling points to me was that they took care of the DMV paperwork for me. Some dealers do not do this, so I appreciate the extra effort that Manny and Anthony took to meet and exceed my expectations. You have a customer for life. More
As most people, I was dreading going to shop for a new car lease. A few months ago I stopped into Meadowlands Nissan to check out their latest models and ran into Manny Vargas. I was very upfront with him and told him that I wasn't ready to purchase a new lease for 3 more months but that I wanted to check out the different models. He was super helpful and not at all what you would picture to be a pushy car salesman. We kept in touch after I left and after visiting various other dealerships over the next few months when my lease was up, I went back to Manny to purchase a lease specifically because I knew it was going to be a quick and honest experience. It was just that - he didn't spend hours going back and forth on price or going to his manager for minimal negotiation approvals. Manny gave me the best deal upfront and I can attest to the price from my previous car shopping experience the prior few months. I spent maybe 2 hours picking out the details of the car and finalizing all the paperwork details. I have to say it was the best car experience and I would highly recommend this dealership to any friends or family. Specifically working with Manny, you felt like he was just a great guy that wanted to find you the perfect car and get you a great deal at the same time. More
My wife and I began looking at various cars when we realized we had only 7 months left on our Murano lease. We hit Kia, Ford, Infiniti, Toyota and Dodge before we gave up. It appeared as though we were realized we had only 7 months left on our Murano lease. We hit Kia, Ford, Infiniti, Toyota and Dodge before we gave up. It appeared as though we were stuck with the remaining Murano payments whether we kept it or got a new car. All monthly payments on new vehicles were being elevated approx $75 because of the remaining Murano payments. We decided we would wait until we paid another 3-4 Murano payments and begin looking again. My Wife & I went for breakfast at IHOP on 17 one Saturday morning which was right down the road from Meadowlands Nissan, my wife suggested we stop in after breakfast, which we did. We thought we would be most interested in a Pathfinder, we walked into the showroom but there were none, we started looking at other vehicles and we were greeted by Christopher (I cannot remember his last name)who simply asked, "Can i get you guys water or coffee?" we declined and simply asked "Is there any Pathfinders around?", he said "sure, we have a few, want to test drive?" I said "sure.", he walked us to his desk, asked for my driver's license, put some of our info in computer and said to meet him outside as he was going to pull a Pathfinder up front. We met him out front, took a test drive, Chris explained some features on the truck, I explained our situation with the remaining Murano payments and basically told him not to expect a sale because we were probably going to have to wait a few months to make a few payments. Chris was cool, he said, "Lets put some #s together and see where we wind up!" No problem, we sat at his desk, asked what options we wanted, filled out a bit of paperwork, he went to see his manager and came back w/ prices. They were off but not that far off, so i told him where we wanted to be, he came back and for another 2 times and we had a deal. IT WAS SEAMLESS!!! Throughout our negotiations Chris told us about his background, he is originally from Pa. he even pulled out a binder with some info on he and his fiance, he was really really really a genuinely nice guy, a gentleman! He wasn't pushy, didn't give us salesman BS, which i HATE HATE HATE! It was determined the vehicle we wanted wasn't available, it had to be located elsewhere, it was determined it would take about 5 days to get. No problem, we left, we received a call from Chris 2 days later on Monday saying the car was ready for pick up. Cool! we arrived at the dealer to see a nice Black Pathfinder, freshly detailed sitting in front of the dealership, only problem, we were supposed to get SLATE GREY. We walked in, Chris greeted us w/ a smile and pointed to the black one saying "there it is!", I said "Chris, we were supposed to get Slate!" all the color and blood drained from his face, he said "you are right!, i'm sorry!" BUT the more we looked at that shiny black, we couldn't resist, not to mention Chris was AWESOME! We told him we would take the Black, he was so grateful. We would not have taken it if Chris wasn't as great as he was. When we finished w/ the paperwork, we were walking out and were stopped by Paul Singh (one of the Managers), he apologized for the mix up and thanked us for being patient and understanding. He left and came back to us w/ a paper for 2 yrs free oil changes. The entire experience was really good and i pray that Chris doesn't turn into one of these fast talking, full of BS Salesreps. He's genuinely a good guy and needs to stay that way.... Visit Meadowlands Nissan and you won't be sorry!!!! More

I went for a test drive for a couple of Versa's with Manny Vargas, who, quite honestly... Excellent guy, great raport, genuinely seemed concerned. I explained I wasn't going to purchase a vehicle that day. Everyone was fine with it. I called back 2 days later expressing my desire to buy the 2nd vehicle I test drove. Everything was in motion, got a call back to have a deposit so I could secure the special rebates etc due to Memorial Day Weekend. Financing, everything complete insurance etc..Call next morning to ensure all is cool with pickup of my vehicle the following day and the answer is YES. MUCH later that same day I receive a phone call that my car was apparently already claimed and purchased by someone else. My deposit meant nothing. My time meant nothing. My experience as their customer meant nothing. The sales person Manny had to take the brunt of my anger that I actually held in. I felt bad that I even got emotional with him. This dealership doesn't like to put SOLD signs on their cars. They have a system that " prevents " this from happening. What a joke. I was never contacted by anyone with a title, never contacted by a manager and as much as I was told the need to "make it right" there was no effort other than for me to wait a few weeks or pick a car that was not what I wanted. I have had multiple poor experiences with Nissan Dealerships in New Jersey. I like Nissans. I recommend you check out Hudson Nissan in Jersey City as they come highly recommended by a friend and I am contacting them. The best part of course.. I HAVE TO WAIT FOR MY DEPOSIT LOL !! More

What can i say, were do i start... I walked into Meadowlands Nissan specifically looking for Engell because my sister bought 2 cars their and Engell's customer service was amazing. She was right, from the time i went in it was like i new him for years, he really makes you feel comfortable. Applied absolutely NO PRESSURE to buy a vehicle at all. Actually, its annoying when dealers try to pressure you into buying something. His customer service was a 10 out of 10. I also had a issue because I bought my Rogue but i am from another state, MASS, and i needed to do a change of address and a lot of phone calls to bank and insurance. This guy went the extra mile by making phone calls to another state ON HIS DAY OFF, a week after i purchased my vehicle. He didn't have to do that. I will definitely be going back to Meadowlands in the future. Not only is Nissan a reliable name, but Engell's hospitality n warm customer service won me over. He should seriously be giving classes on customer service since so many dealers lack it these days. More

I have to say that before coming to Meadowlands Nissan I thought all car dealerships were snakes! Eddie Singh changed my mind about all that negative thought.
