Oil Change I sat for 1 hour and 45 minutes to get an oil change on a Thursday. When I finally go the car back, it was obvious that it had just been hosed off bec I sat for 1 hour and 45 minutes to get an oil change on a Thursday. When I finally go the car back, it was obvious that it had just been hosed off because it was covered with water. When I turned the car on both steam and smoke were rolling off the engine. I popped the hood and they had obviously sprayed the engine off and you could tell there was oil that was spilled because it was burning and after I got a 1st , 2nd and 3rd employee to come and look at it, they all agreed that was what it was. So, they asked us to sit again and took it for a ride and the smoking stopped and the car had been wiped down. That was Thursday, I took the car to the Twin Cities that weekend, this past weekend and on my return trip, the check engine light came on. So, now I am getting that checked out. This is also about a month after I had to have a couple pistons redone and a rod replaced as warranty work on the same car. The reason I was at Russ Darrow is because I bought the car there and they gave me some free oil changes. It is not convenient, it is a 30+ minute drive but I figured it is free. I doubt I will be going there for any more "free" service. I pass several other places on the way that are much more convenient and I have a feeling the service will be every bit as good, probably even better. More
Service Dept needs service This review is mostly on the service department. It has taken 6 weeks and 3 visits to have our rear spoiler on our new van replaced after it fell off. This review is mostly on the service department. It has taken 6 weeks and 3 visits to have our rear spoiler on our new van replaced after it fell off. The parts were not ordered timely, or sent for painting the between the first and second visit, then after waiting around an hour on the second visit we were told they didn't order all the parts. Each time we had to contact the service department for information and follow up as the service writer didn't do his job. Finally the third visit took over 2 hours for a minor repair and again I had to go out and ask where my van was. Find another service department, and if it is a warranty/recall-go to a different Dodge. Even if you have to drive out of town, it will still get done faster More
