I initially wrote a glowingly positive review of my sales experience. But unfortunately, I have to revise and extend my comments based on what's happened since we drove off the lot. A week after our purchase, I got a call from the finance guy, telling me that he had given us the wrong contract and that we needed to come back in and sign a new contract. This seemed a bit suspicious, but we reviewed the new terms and determined that they were essentially the same as the old ones (except the check return fee doubled to $50 on the new form, but we obviously don't plan to bounce any checks). So we came back in on a weeknight and signed the new form. He promised to get me our Honda Finance account number, payment mailing address, and vehicle title number (for Arlington County personal property tax registration purposes) within two days. That was about three weeks ago. Still nothing. According to the contract we signed (twice!), our first payment to Honda is due on Tuesday (it's now Friday), and I have not heard from anyone in 11 days. I finally gave up and called Honda corporate directly and they told me the paperwork has been processed and gave me my account number and payment address. I still don't have a title number, so I can't register the car with the county, even though it's now been six full weeks since purchase. I don't think there's anything fishy going on here--I certainly hope not. But the degree of incompetence is nonetheless rather frustrating. I'm going to think twice before buying another car here or bringing this car here for service. More

So September 30, 2010 is a day I will never forget. My vehicle breaks down on 395 on the way to work in the middle of the Tropical Storm formerly known as Nicole. I arrive to the dealership and talked with Ken about the problems with my vehicle. He got me in and about an hour later told me the cause of the problem (Fuel line and fuel pump), the cost and the time frame. He did offer that if I did get the vehicle fixed, that he will get me a rental free of charge. I went back and forth with the idea of fixing the vehicle vs. buying a new car. Ken then introduced me to Dominique Campbell so I could test drive some cars. Dominique was mad cool, just like a family member, and was so easy to work with. He let me test drive the Accord and the CRV. He wasn't pushy and understood my situation. That Saturday, Dominique followed up with me, and within a couple of hours, I was in a new vehicle! No pressure from him and he thouroughly explained everything to me. Most of the time I was cracking jokes. He followed up with me on Tuesday. The financing wasn't great but they were able to get it to a reasonable monthly payment. The only downside was I took my car in on Monday for the protection package on my vehicle. When I came back that night, they had an issue finding the right paperwork for my new vehicle. But me, I remained patient cause it takes a while for me to get really upset and they found the paperwork and car. I would recommend them and will go back again! More

We found Amine and the rest of the staff to be very friendly, helpful, and patient. We agreed on a price but had to put the deal on hold for two weeks due to unforeseen circumstances. Amine was remarkably understanding and cooperative, taking care of all of our needs and holding the car we test drove for us. When we finally were ready to make the purchase, there were no hidden costs or unexpected charges. We went in early on a Saturday, signed the paperwork, and were out by lunch. More

Amine Kadmiri was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. I bought the Honda Civic LX. I originally came in looking for the EX but I didn't want a sunroof. He came and picked me up, I'm a young senior citizen, providing me with his impeccable professionalism, and even drove back with me because it was night and dark, to pick up a 2 week resident parking sticker at our neighborhood police station here on Captial Hill in Washington, D.C. REMARKABLE, simply REMARKABLE, you don't get this quality of service from most car dealers, unless you are buying at one of those High End Car Dealers. I arrive at Browns Arlington Honda to work with Eric Demby to buy a car. I receive a pretty good quote over the phone, which was about $200 less than another dealer. I'm thinking getting a Honda for 17.1k is a pretty good deal. My wife and I sit there and Eric is pretty friendly. Everything was good, for the first hour. We literally sat down for about 4 hours in that dealership waiting for a vehicle for 17.1k. After the fourth hour, he comes out and tells me has has made a $700 mistake. Now tell me, he has been selling cars for more than 5 to 7 years(a guess), he couldn't have told me this three hours into sitting at the dealer? However, this didn't even give me a bad experience at Browns Arlington honda. We left pist off, but we let it go. Then I get a call from the rudest car salesman in Northern Virginia, Eddie Castro. He calls me and asks me if they can do anything further for me. Thinking about our bad experience I say no and ask how long has Eric been selling vehicles because I know that mistake couldn't have taken 4 hours to be detected. That was the only question I asked. Then, he gets mad at me for asking the question. He didn't explain the situation as to how it takes 4 hours to figure out an error, but accused me of beating up on Eric, which I didn't. I just wanted to know how long he had been selling cars. The icing on the cake was he said that I should have known that I could not have bought my desired car for 17.1k, and if I had done my research correctly, I would not have wasted my time coming to Browns Arlington Honda because no dealer is going to give that car for that price. WOW. The sad thing is I bought the same exact car for $200 les than what Eric quoted me on the phone (so obviously my research was pretty good). Eric was an ok person, but Eddie Castro totally put a bad taste in my mouth towards that dealership. My opinion, do your research and make sure that you stay committed to the price you believe is a great price for the car. Truecar.com is a good site for this research. If the dealer can't verify a price for you in an hour and give you a clear cut answer and price for the vehicle, then leave. They are just trying to get you in, wear you down so that you will accept any price they offer that may be higher. More
