Laurie Bain was extremely helpful the day we were waiting for the car to be ready. She noticed what we needed as we were waiting and helped us with that. Additionally, when I needed help with the car startin for the car to be ready. She noticed what we needed as we were waiting and helped us with that. Additionally, when I needed help with the car starting in the cold weather, she conferred with service and they jointly decided a remote starter would be a good addition to my car.She helped me arranged the service and I have been very satisfied with the remote starter solution. On other occasions when I have had questions, Laurie Bain is very responsive and knowledgeable. I feel confident that I can call her in the future for other help. She is friendly and caring which is what I need when working with a car dealership. More

AWFUL SERVICE DEPARTMENT! Whatever you do, drive a few AWFUL SERVICE DEPARTMENT! Whatever you do, drive a few extra miles to avoid having your car serviced at Brown’s Nissan in Fairfax, VA. I brought in AWFUL SERVICE DEPARTMENT! Whatever you do, drive a few extra miles to avoid having your car serviced at Brown’s Nissan in Fairfax, VA. I brought in my classic Nissan 300ZX for service back in June of 2010 to have the odometer and tripometer replaced and here are the events that followed: • When they replaced the broken odometer, no one bothered to tell me that the new one would not be brought back to its original mileage (43k in my case). I now have a 1990 Z with ZERO miles. I only have a receipt to show people what the mileage should actually be, but it looks otherwise suspicious (odometer rollback), which might make the car difficult to sell in the future. • The fuel gauge no longer works! • The steering column was not put back together correctly • There was a gasket hanging out of the instrument cluster • The other instrument cluster was not properly aligned • There was a one inch scratch on the radio bezel • The car was left unlocked in their parking lot overnight • Had to take the car back 3 times to correct these issues and the fuel gauge still does not work at all • Had at least a dozen phone conversations with people promising to call me back with a resolution and they rarely ever called back. I had to stay on them constantly until I just had to give up. The service department promised to get me a new fuel gauge and replacement radio bezel. However, at the time of this writing, almost 5 months have passed and Brown’s Nissan has still not bothered to follow up on their mistakes. In addition to the fuel gauge, it now appears as though my oil pressure and temperature gauges are now on the fritz, only working intermittently. I don’t know if this is a result of whatever they did to my instrument cluster back in June but when I reported it to Brown’s, they never bothered to call back (big surprise). The low level of customer service at Brown’s, quite honestly, is unbelievable. I’ll have to bite the bullet on this one and take my Z to someplace else where their staff actually cares about the quality of their work. Needless to say, my two Z’s will never return to Brown’s, and my many friends in the Z community now know to avoid this hassle as well. More
My car was purchased brand new from this dealership at the beginning of this year. The sales was fine, except for the ridiculous $389 processing fee. The problem with this dealer is their subpar service the beginning of this year. The sales was fine, except for the ridiculous $389 processing fee. The problem with this dealer is their subpar service department. I've had my car in shortly after purchasing it to have a deck rattle issue looked it. After replacing parts and reassembling the interior, they did a terrible job. The rear seats were loose, the covers for the rear air bags was placed on incorrectly, and there were a lot of oily finger print marks all over. I spent nearly 2 hours correcting all these problems on my own. Quality is very poor with the technicians working on the cars. When I made the appointment for the recall notice, I requested that they look at a few other issues I was having with the car. When going in for this appointment, they didn't even bother to check those problems. Infact the work order completely omitted what I had requested. The only work performed was the recall. I had to made another appointment for 3 other issues. At this most recent visit, they were only able to fix one of them. I even went on a drive with the technician and after pointing out the problem, he confirmed it. We went back to the dealership and he said he could fix it. He didn't fix it. All that he did was apply tape to a panels interior. The problem is still there. I don't trust these technicians at this dealership and will be having my car serviced somewhere else to have the issues resolved. These guys are pretty clueless at fixing cars. Absolutely pathetic. If you live in VA and need to buy a Nissan car, Browns is ok for new sales. However, don't even waste your time and money to have your car serviced here. More
Vince (Parts), Steve (Service) and the staff in general at this location are friendly and genuenly customer oriented. They have gone above and beyond to meet my expectations even when my car was located o at this location are friendly and genuenly customer oriented. They have gone above and beyond to meet my expectations even when my car was located overseas. I will strongly recommend Brown Sterling Nissan to purchase a car, to maintain it and obtain a top notch service for a fair price. When I needed assistance with bodyshop type of service, Brown's Steling Nissan also assisted me by recommending a near by place with high standards. More
