Retracting my earlier positive review posted in July I thought when I purchased my 2015 Genesis sedan that I got a great deal. The finance person, Kerri Estrada, was all sweet and nice and everything. I thought when I purchased my 2015 Genesis sedan that I got a great deal. The finance person, Kerri Estrada, was all sweet and nice and everything. However, after I had a chance to look over what I signed, I realized I didn't get great a deal. Even though the dealership cut me a check to allow me to pay off my MINI Cooper, they ended up jacking the sales price of the car WAY up (about $10,000) to compensate. Of course they didn't mention they were doing that and (I blame myself for this) I didn't read the lease agreement carefully before I signed it. But this dealership does all the same sleazy things other car dealerships do--they focus on the monthly payment and then hide other costs in the lease. I should have been aware of that but I wasn't. And it was 11 pm on a Friday night, wasn't thinking as clearly as I should have and they took advantage of that as well. But then, why should I have to be on the lookout for such "gotchas?" This experience is why car buying is regarded as such a crappy process to go through. On top of all that, it took the dealership 3 days to return my MINI to me (as I didn't trade it in). That's due to the fact that the sales rep I dealt with, Hector Colon, just didn't give a xxxx about returning my car in a timely manner. So, lessons learned here for sure. I won't go back to this dealership ever again and I certainly won't use them for service. Oh and one more thing, the sales manager, Chip, said he was going to send me a $50 coupon for posting a positive review. I didn't get that either and I won't get it now that I've posted this review but, I don't care. Another reason this is a sleazy dealership--they don't follow through on what they tell you they are going to do. More
