Outstanding Service I drove in from San Antonio Saturday morning and our check engine light came on in the Expedition. We were only up in Dallas for the day and planned t I drove in from San Antonio Saturday morning and our check engine light came on in the Expedition. We were only up in Dallas for the day and planned to head back the next morning. I called around to 3 other Ford dealerships and explained my situation only to be told that they were too busy. All I was looking for was someone to "plug" the truck in and let me know what the issue was so that I could get back to San Antonio to get it fixed without breaking down. When I called Sam Pack I could tell that they were busy, but Vincent said that he could squeeze me in at 1:30 that afternoon and take a look. After being there an hour not only had they identified the problem, but they had already fixed it as well! I greatly appreciate Vincent taking the time to listen to me and going above and beyond. More

The Extra Mile I have used Garrett for several years for my service. When I had new tires and rim put on my Ford Edge, I had a rather unusual request. I wanted to se I have used Garrett for several years for my service. When I had new tires and rim put on my Ford Edge, I had a rather unusual request. I wanted to see if the mechanic could trace the rim on the cardboard the rim came in so I could cut out and use to cover my rims when I polish tires to keep the spray from getting on rims. He did, and the repair guy even put a metal handle on it! Outstanding going the extra mile to satisfy a customer. More

Repairs taking too long and can't get a straight answer According to the insurance estimate, it should have taken two weeks to repair the damage to my car from a minor accident. It has now been SIX weeks. According to the insurance estimate, it should have taken two weeks to repair the damage to my car from a minor accident. It has now been SIX weeks. Every time I ask why it is taking so long and when will the car be ready, I am told that they are waiting on parts. According to the phone conversation with the collision center this morning, the car has been sitting in the service department for two weeks waiting on parts for them to do the alignment and they still don't know when the car is going to be ready. Nobody there seems to be at all concerned about getting my car fixed and getting it back to me. I am not making payments on a car just so it can sit in the repair shop. UPDATE: I received a response to contact the General Manager. I spoke to him and he said he would look into this and get back with me, which he never did. I spoke to the Service Director yesterday and was told the car was finished and that they would go over it first thing this morning and get it cleaned up and ready for us to pick up. I was also told that someone would call me in the morning to let me know what time it would be ready. Just got a a call at 3:00 in the afternoon that they just found more work that needs to be done on it and it will be another day before the care is ready. More

You can't beat outstanding service My wife and I have purchased 8 vehicles from Sam's 5 Star Ford in the past 15 years. There's not a better place in the Metroplex to purchase from. Start to finish and even past that, 5 Star's employees have been outstanding!! Clay Young has been our service advisor for the past 10 years approx., and there is no one better! He gets our cars in and out and makes sure we are taken care of from the minute we drive up until we drive away with the situation taken care of. Thank you Sam's 5 Star for having employees like him to work with. Danny Forsee has been our car guy forever and a day too!! More

Bitter Sales staff top priority is making a sale. Service department had left a bitter taste in my mouth every time I went in or even talked on the phone. They are always correct and you are an the sucker who doesn't know what you are talking about. Would not recommend the sales department. Would DEFINITELY not recommend service department. More

2013 Ford Escape Transmission issues before 60K miles We dropped off our vehicle at Sam Pack Five Star Ford in Carrollton right after it closed for the evening. We did receive a call the next morning stat We dropped off our vehicle at Sam Pack Five Star Ford in Carrollton right after it closed for the evening. We did receive a call the next morning stating that it would maybe take a day or two to even diagnose the issue and that the service could take up to 2 weeks. They also mentioned it would be around $100 for diagnosing the issue. We were not given the option for any type of courtesy vehicle as Clay mentioned that they have not done that in over 10 years now. They should provide some kind of rental reimbursement then I would think for a car that is roughly only 2 years old and having transmission issues. Will not return here for service again or for future purchases. More
