San Francisco Honda - Service Center

I scheduled an A16 maintenance appointment for 8:00 a. m. on Jan 31. I arrived about 10 minutes early and was advised that my car would be ready by 1:00 p.m. because there was something like 13 cars ahead m. on Jan 31. I arrived about 10 minutes early and was advised that my car would be ready by 1:00 p.m. because there was something like 13 cars ahead of me... even though i had an appointment. I decided I didn't want to wait, so I took an Uber home. My car ended up being ready at 10:10. I can wait around for two hours, but not five. I understand part of the service was to check my battery, which is in the trunk. i don't have a lot of things in my trunk, but very little care was given to putting anything back the way it was. Overall, from my smile-less experience with my advisor to my smile-less experience with the young man who fetched my car, I don't think I'll be back. I'll go back to Marin Acura, even though it's a lot farther away. They're a lot more efficient and friendly. More

Excellence customer service. Our service advisor was Brian. Need to work on their speed for oil change, shoulder taken over an hour. Reasonable time is about 30-45 minutes. Arrived for my appointment early. Nobody in sight to assist with my first time being there. Waited thirty minutes before receiving any attention from a service advisor. Jeff was very friendly and helpful. Greeted me with a warm "Good Morning!" and took good care of me during the registration process. I felt he cared about doing a good job for me. The maintenance service was fine. The recall service was pretty bad. There was a recall to replace just the side mirrors, not the whole mirror housing. After the recall service, both mirrors fell off and were just dangling by their electrical connection. I noticed the tiny hooks behind the mirrors, that latch onto the mirror housing, were broken. I assume the dealer tried to shove the mirrors back on and attach them with glue. I brought the car back. But the dealer basically glued them back on and told me they were fixed. And as feared, the mirrors fell out again, not much later. When I brought up the issue again, the dealer said they followed Honda’s instructions for the recall and I would need to bring this up with Honda…The dealer and Honda should have known the tiny hooks behind the mirrors are not very durable and not meant to be installed that way. It’s just not a very safe recall solution… More
