They completely wrecked my 2021 F-150 Raptor during a transmission repair, held it for nearly a month, and then had the audacity to try and charge me for the damage they caused. Here’s the nightmare they put me through: I took my truck in for a transmission repair, which required them to remove the skid plate. After keeping my truck for almost a month, they finally gave it back—but something was clearly wrong. I took it back so they could diagnose the new noise that started after their repair, and they had the nerve to try and charge me a $150 diagnostic fee—for an issue they created! At that point, I had enough and took my truck to another Ford service center, where I found out: • Santa Monica Ford stripped the bolts when reinstalling parts. • They damaged the undercarriage during the repair. • The flywheel might be compromised due to their careless work. • They tried to charge me nearly $500 for a skid plate replacement—when they were the ones who removed it in the first place! And to top it all off, their negligence may have caused enough damage that I might need a full engine replacement. Awful Customer Service on Top of Incompetent Repairs I pay for an extended warranty, which includes a rental car, yet Santa Monica Ford never even offered me one—even though they held my truck hostage for almost a month. Instead, I was left without a vehicle while they completely butchered the repair. Final Verdict: Santa Monica Ford is a disaster. • They do not know what they’re doing. • They will charge you for their own screw-ups. • They don’t take accountability. Thankfully, another Ford dealership is fixing the mess for free, but I shouldn’t have had to go somewhere else to clean up Santa Monica Ford’s negligence. Avoid this place at ALL COSTS. If you value your time, money, and vehicle, go anywhere else. More
