Had my 2006 Miata in that I just bought from a private party. I asked them to check it out. Came back with a clean bill of health. The very next day it overheated. Waited until noon and I called to see what was going on. No one seemed to know about it but acknowledged the car was there and they had the key, so they said they would get back to me. Once they started working on it they told me they could not see any problems... I told them to tell the mechanic to check the electric fan which I also told them when I dropped it off. Called me back and said I was correct the fan was not working. So now the fan is on order for over a week and I have missed 2 weekends of being able to drive it.... If this was actually my daily driver it would be a problem. Everybody has been very nice and past service has been good but this experience has not been the best. Writing this on Saturday 9/12 and fan is suppose to be in on Monday or Tuesday. We will see how the rest of my experience goes. A few recommendations - Improve communication or the hand-off when somebody has the next day off, write down what the customer thinks the problem is and check that, offer to expedite a part (they may be willing to pay for that). More

I got a very good car service with Scherer Mazda. Staff are very friendly and professional. I didn't have any problem with scheduling appointments. They give you on time updates thru text with a link via t are very friendly and professional. I didn't have any problem with scheduling appointments. They give you on time updates thru text with a link via tvidnow while your car is being checked. So you can see your car actually being opened and actually check the tire, your brakes, oil etc. You can communicate thru the text if there is something you forgot to ask or include in the check up. I really appreciate it. And aside from that while your comfortably waiting in their lounge you can chill, drink coffee or tea and smell or eat popcorn! More
