They try to save you money...usually I brought my Mazda 3 in for an oil change; I'm usually very happy with the wait time and the environment in the waiting area, and I'm always impressed I brought my Mazda 3 in for an oil change; I'm usually very happy with the wait time and the environment in the waiting area, and I'm always impressed with how friendly the staff are. I love how they walk you through any and all issues that come up during a standard procedure; they even go so far as to tell you what should be fixed immediately versus what can be put off. However, during this visit, I was told I would need to replace my oil pan for roughly $400. I brought it to a local mechanic shop for a second opinion, and they told me the "bad damage" reported by this dealership was a dent, and that I shouldn't need to replace the pan in my lifetime. I'm upset that I was expected to blindly trust the opinion of the dealership, who then tried to con me out of so much money. More
Big Job But Done Great! I have a 2003 Miata LS which has been a great car. It was stalling out at traffic lights and when idling and was becoming a real nuisance and dangero I have a 2003 Miata LS which has been a great car. It was stalling out at traffic lights and when idling and was becoming a real nuisance and dangerous. I called Scherer Mazda and got an appointment quickly. I dropped it off and then received a call that there was definitely problems. My motor mounts has broken, the oil pan was leaking, it definitely needed a tune up, and a few miscellaneous other things, totaling close to $3,000. We take great care of our cars and the Miata only had a little over 80,000 miles on it. I told them to go ahead with the repairs. It took almost 5 days in the shop, but when I drove it away, it ran like a new car. All repairs were done, and done well, and I feel that Scherer did a great job, better than a non-dealer shop, where I am sure I could have saved a little money. But I had the peace of mind knowing that my 18 year old Miata was taken care of by Mazda professionals! Kyle Eisenbarth in service kept me updated and was extremely professional and helpful. I am hoping to keep my 2003 Miata running like new for a few more years! I will be returning to Scherer for service and eventually a new Mazda! More

Noticed the difference immediately. Brooks-miller service guy was friendly and very kind and efficient. Again, I truly enjoyed my experience. I also noticed no one was wearing a mask, not even the cashier when paying and checking out. I had a mask on but still a concern. More
