It was downright shocking how great my "product consultant," Shantelle Diaz, was. I always do a lot of my research before visiting a car dealer. I read auto reviews, the manufacturers website, consultant," Shantelle Diaz, was. I always do a lot of my research before visiting a car dealer. I read auto reviews, the manufacturers website, car comparisons. I know about the vehicle at THAT dealer and the competing vehicles from other manufacturers. Unlike EVERY other car salesperson I've ever dealt with, Shantelle's the vehicle I was looking at was (at least) nearly as good as mine. More importantly, she did not try to cover up gaps in her knowledge by confidently bluffing with stuff she just made up. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to deal with a car salesperson who is more interesting in helping me than in either establishing dominance or writing off every question about the vehicle. Her knowledge was great, and her desire to find me answers when she did not have the answer was even greater. She made the test drive easy. She knew the answers to my questions about how the safety and technology systems worked BEFORE I got there, and therefore was able to explain them so I could try them out on my test drive. Furthermore, this charming woman was relentless positive. She clearly wants her customers to be excited about their purchases. The one thing that I could not determine was how she would react if she didn't have a vehicle that met MY needs, because the one I purchased fills that sweet spot (after years of waiting for the industry to produce exactly such a thing).
