Second time I've used Sheehy Toyota of Fredericksburg. Both times I've not been happy with. First time (2022) I had them rotate and balance my rims/tires and perform an oil change. Finished my vehicle Both times I've not been happy with. First time (2022) I had them rotate and balance my rims/tires and perform an oil change. Finished my vehicle in a timely manner however, after driving my vehicle a few miles, I noticed some hopping in my wheels. A clear indicator the rims/tires were out of balance much worse than when I brought it in. Brought back the vehicle and they explained the Tech didn't perform the balancing correctly. Fixed the issue, and off I went. Then a couple days later an indicator came up on my dashboard advising I was due for an oil change. Doh! Feeling pretty confident they performed the oil change I went ahead and reset the computer. So, on this 2022 visit..it was a complete failure. I called and spoke to the Service Advisor of my experience and advised they need to provide better QC/QA. Now, for this most recent visit in July 2023, it too was a failure with QC/QA. Brought the vehicle in for an oil change and rotation of rims. As I dropped the vehicle off, I reminded the Service Advisor of my bad experience I had on my previous trip and asked that they please conduct a good QC/QA on my vehicle so I don't have to bring it back...again. Well, that didn't work.... As I arrived back to the dealership to pick up my vehicle, they didn't provide the paperwork for my multi-point inspection. I asked for it and they couldn't provide a completed one, but they said one was conducted. Well, if so, there should be a completed form advising on the wear of tires, battery life, etc. They pulled my vehicle back in the shop, forcing me to wait another 40+ minutes, so they could perform the multi-point inspection that they said was done before but had no proof one was done. Very inconvenient... I did speak to one of the Service Managers (Josh) and advised with my unpleasant experience once again. He was very receptive and apologized and said the Service Technician was spoken to about the situation. Why do I keep bringing my vehicle to this Sheehy? Because I purchased the VIP Package at time of purchasing my vehicle, and I don't want to waste what I already purchased into....but these inconvenient trips are challenging when they shouldn't be. Ask that Sheehy Toyota please look into their QC/QA process to make customer's experience more convenient. More
Service department was responsive and did fix the problem. Given this was clearly a Toyota manufacturing issue with the steering and a safety issue I hope it is logged properly. problem.
