I had to have some recall work done on my 4Runner. When I took it in to Sheehy’s for the scheduled appointment, James was very helpful and friendly. The work was done a lot more quickly than I anticipated & took it in to Sheehy’s for the scheduled appointment, James was very helpful and friendly. The lady answering the phone lacks basic customer service phone skills. (Apr. 7th 2021) I was trying to get ahold of the service dept advisor that I was working with, her response "He's not at his desk." Sil phone skills. (Apr. 7th 2021) I was trying to get ahold of the service dept advisor that I was working with, her response "He's not at his desk." Silence. No suggestions of what she could do instead (i.e. put me through to another service member, leave a message for him, etc.) Me: "Okay, I guess I'll call back later". I called again later, same receptionist "He's not here". Silence. Me: "Ummm, okay. So is he coming back? Is he gone for the day?!" She said he was out to lunch, then conveyed annoyance when I asked to speak to anyone in the service dept. By the way, the dealership has a sign outside that says "Takata Airbag Repair Week". I had made an appointment the week BEFORE. I had brought my vehicle in at 10:30am on a Wedneaday. I texted for a status update at 2:50pm and also left a phone message with the service advisor, asking for an update. I did not receive a call back, I received a text message at 3:40pm that stated "yes, it is done..." , that was immediately followed with another text stating "SORRY THE RECALL PARTS WE HAD TO ORDER DID NOT HAVE THE CORRECT ONE" I was told this via there TEXTING system! I'm just hearing this over 4 hours later!? So I call again, same nasty receptionist attitude. Spoke with my service advisor and was told that the part would be in the next morning. Okay, it is what it is but it would've been nice to hear this hours ago. But, we agree to leave the vehicle overnight, and have it repaired the next day. Next morning at 10:15am, call from Sheehy, "The part didn't make it onto the truck at the warehouse". Me: "The warehouse that's only 2 hours away? Can someone bring it today still?" Mr. King: "No, it'll be here tomorrow". What!? Seriously!? First of all, I had an appointment so the part SHOULD have been there already. Second, it's "Airbag Week" and you still don't have the right part!? The part "didn't make it onto the truck" from a warehouse that's only 2 hours away and you'll aren't willing to send someone to make things right!? I was a blown away by the lack of effort in making things right. When I made the appointment, I was denied a loaner vehicle, being told it had to be more than 4 hours of work to qualify. The Sheehy website and Toyota Recall notices I received in the mail say "free loaner" with this airbag recall repair. I was offered a loaner vehicle only on the 2nd day when the part still didn't come in. We were unable proceed to have the recall repair done because my son had to go back to college in Fairfax by that evening and the Toyota is his primary vehicle. This is NOT "exceptional service" in my humble opinion. In addition, the price I was given for ONE TPMS for an '05 Sequoia, $290!!! 😳 More

Made an appointment for a recall through Sheehy Toyota of Fredericksburg. They we were able to adapt to our request for a certain time & da. We were greeted promptly on pulling into the service area. After spending a few weeks looking at used and new vehicles I’m happy I fo quickly responded to any and all questions via in person, text or phone.
