Another great experience with Sheehy Toyota Fredericksburg. Dropped my truck off for routine service and got it back in a short time. Josh was great at checking me in and out. Fredericksburg. Dropped my Sequoia off to get the water pump and belt replaced, I get a call later that day saying "Hey, we replaced your water pump and belt, but somehow your radiator got a hole put in it. You need a n replaced, I get a call later that day saying "Hey, we replaced your water pump and belt, but somehow your radiator got a hole put in it. You need a new one!" I get emailed pictures taken by the mechanic showing the back of my radiator spraying coolant. Now, I had been checking under my car daily for puddles because I knew my water pump was going south, but it was only ever weeping a bit causing coolant to crust up on it (found this out when changing my own oil recently, apparently a somewhat common problem with the Toyota 5.7) Was also conscientious about monitoring engine temperatures during daily driving. Never overheated, never had a drop of coolant under the car before bringing it in to Sheehy Toyota Fredericksburg. I go back to the dealership the next day and confront the service rep (Tyler) about why my car now has a punctured radiator, and I got a bunch of smoke blown up my rear about how "The water pump could have been fine, it was probably your radiator that was leaking all along!" They refused to accept responsibility for the damage caused while the car was in their care. There's not a chance the radiator was damaged before I brought my car in. First of all, if that was the case, I wouldn't have even made it to the dealership without my car spewing out all its coolant and overheating (didn't happen, I've been driving my car normally since I've owned it). Second of all, it would have left a giant puddle in the drop-off bay before the lotboy took it (was waiting there in my car for 5-10 mins), didn't happen. Watched the lotboy drive off with it, bone dry underneath. No other employees (in a very busy service lot!) noted any leaks. Third of all, if I had somehow managed to make it to the dealership, AND dropped it off without anybody noticing the leak, why wasn't I called immediately after the mechanic got his hands on it? A punctured radiator is pretty serious (they themselves even said "Oh, you wouldn't be able to drive it ten minutes without overheating!"), so how is it possible that the mechanic replacing the pump RIGHT NEXT to the radiator didn't notice, then call and let me know? I was only informed of the damage AFTER the water pump and belt were replaced. It even says on the mechanic's memo I was given, "AFTER water pump installed, filled with coolant, noticed leak coming from radiator spraying out" (see attached image). Replacing that pump takes a few hours, and somehow I'm expected to believe that the entire time the mechanic had his hands on it, he didn't notice until the very end of the job. Yeah right. A little side note, you wouldn't even have to actually look at the radiator to know something was wrong. Attached are the photos the mechanic sent, but also the condition of the engine bay after they gave me back the car. Almost every square inch of it coated in pink Toyota coolant, caused by the coolant spray hitting the fan while the car is running. Also, coolant was running down the radiator and dripping underneath the car. You would only have to pop the hood or glance under the car to see that. So, long story short: Brought my Sequoia in to Sheehy Toyota Fredericksburg, paid over $1000 for a new water pump/belt, AND I got the added bonus of a now undriveable car. One of their mechanics slipped up while installing parts, and punctured my radiator. Sheehy Toyota Fredericksburg refused to accept responsibility and replace it on their dime, despite evidence showing they were at fault. Overall: Steer clear of this place. A very shady business, they prefer to cover for their own employees rather than admit their mistakes and do what's right by their customers. Very unhappy, will never be coming back. Take the 5-star reviews with a big grain of salt, it isn't difficult to buy good reviews these days. More
Service was an expensive 30,000 mile service. Checkin was slow at best when I arrived. There were two cars in before me, with no service advisor out to take care of the first one. After service was completed slow at best when I arrived. There were two cars in before me, with no service advisor out to take care of the first one. After service was completed, I was given an opportunity to pay on a "touch free" site. Did that, and arranged an appointment fo pick up my vehicle. Upon arrival to get the car, didn't know where or who to talk to, so I waited for someone to be available. I was then sent back out to the service advisor, where I then had to sign the final paperwork in what was supposed to be "touch free"? Took an additional 5 minutes to get my car back. For a $300 plus regular service, the car wasn't even washed. Unfortunately Sheehy, not all that impressed. More

I’ll travel the 60 miles for this service even though my local dealer is less than 3 miles from my home! More

Was early for my appointment and then waited for over an hour before asking about the status of my service. Was told it would be another hour because they were busy, so I got my car and left.
