I came in expecting to pay the advertised price, or maybe even a little less. I did NOT expect to be presented with a final price TEN THOUSAND dollars more than the advertised price. This included an extended warranty, “advertising fee”, etc. Four separate times I told the manager that I was not interested in paying a penny more than the price THEY had already set, but it was only when I got up and started to walk out that he finally relented. If I hadn’t really wanted that particular car, I would have walked just on principle. I’ve never had to work so hard just to pay a price already set by the other party. I thought hard ball tactics like this went away years ago, but apparently not. More
