Never had any issues with the service department. I just wish Toyota would get the "fix" for my Tacoma done and to the dealers. I've been dealing with acceleration and engine hesitation issues since I bough wish Toyota would get the "fix" for my Tacoma done and to the dealers. I've been dealing with acceleration and engine hesitation issues since I bought the vehicle (new). It would be nice to get more help from the dealer than telling me every time they are waiting on Toyota though. More

I brought my car in for service at 930 am on Sat 8/15 and asked if they could try to buff out a scratch on the driver side rear door as well as the maintenance required. They sent it to body shop first and asked if they could try to buff out a scratch on the driver side rear door as well as the maintenance required. They sent it to body shop first and around 10am the service attendant told me they buffed out the scratch and it was on service now. At 1045 am I asked them what was taking so long and they were not sure where it was and then one of them said they sent it back to body. I had been there for an hour and fifteen minutes and they didn't even have it serviced. I'm not angry I just feel like it was poor service. More

Worst Dealership Experience To Date Over the past 10 years, I have made several vehicle purchases from a wide variety of dealerships through a large number of southern states. Some were Over the past 10 years, I have made several vehicle purchases from a wide variety of dealerships through a large number of southern states. Some were great and some were ok, for the most part I wouldn't say I regretted business with any of them. Unfortunately, my recent experience at Shottenkirk Toyota was the worst of them all. I am not a huge advocate for reviews, as they are often subjective and exclude factual details and events that may have contributed to what one perceived as a bad experience. However, my engagement with the Shottenkirk Toyota Granbury team needs to be known, these are just straight up bad business and customer service practices.. To save everyone the agony of a long read, I will make this as blunt and upfront as possible. 1.) The dealer had a complete lack of transparency with me on costs, fees, financing, and trade values. They wouldn't talk specific numbers and honestly never took the time to explain exact costs and fees - instead just spoke end state numbers. Come to find out this was due to a slew of ridiculous and unnecessary fees that were bundled up into the total pricing. BE CONGNIZANT OF THIS IF YOU PLAN TO WORK A DEAL WITH THEM. There is a charge for not using their in-house financing, which is completely unfair to the customer and the exact reason why most people are negative on their investment once they drive off the lot. 2.) The truck I was interested in never went through a safety inspection prior to the dealerships willingness to let me and family get in it and test drive it! Let alone purchase it. Once purchased, I was told I would have to await delivery of the truck for this reason but couldn't keep my trade in. So i was given a loaner - This then extended multiple days as the dealership took no prioritization in turning the truck around to deliver their product to a customer. Instead I ended up having to wait nearly a week! and had to cancel meetings at work to ensure I could pickup the truck prior to the dealerships closing time. (no willingness to deliver or extend hours to support) 3.) During my wait I was told the truck has bad tires that wouldnt balance, and that the dealership was replacing all four and also replacing the backup camera due to foggy visibility. This was irritating but I was thankful in the dealerships willingness to deliver a good product. Come to find out on pickup day, none of that was completed as "it was a mix up with another truck" and the truck was very poorly cleaned, this resulted in the loss of multiple days I should have had the truck and no apology or willingness to make it right from the dealership. 4.) The loaner truck I was provided was not properly documented by the dealership, so when I arrived at the dealership on pickup day the dealers were scrambling to find the truck, as customers were there inquiring about it. Not sure how that worked out for them, but another example of poor business. 5.) As typical process, and specifically promised during the deal. I was delivered a truck with under a quarter tank of fuel. When I reached out to the dealer, he stated he had left for the day. Horrible customer service yet again, and no effort to make it right. 6.) THE BEST PART!!!! After exactly 23 hours of having the truck, my wife and two young boys (under 5) took the truck out to dinner. After completing dinner and going to the leave, the truck threw all sort of codes and errors. I pulled the truck over to the side of the road and shut it off, from which it was completely dead. We are stuck on the side of the highway, its Texas in the summer, and my family's safety is now at risk. I called the dealership in a ditch effort to see if they could help. Through a conversation with a manager through the woman who answered the call (thats right no willingness for the manager to own the phone call himself) I was told they are closing and to call local police for a jump start. Now, I am no Ford truck professional, however I do have years of auto and aviation maintenance under my belt and I know what a dead battery looks like. This was clearly a wiring/software issue. After being ditched by the dealer, it was up to me to have friends come pickup my family and for me to pay for the truck to be towed to a local ford dealer and pay for the repair (which turned out to be a PCM) since Toyota wasn't going to be open and couldn't help with a loaner until they were able to look at the truck. There dealership made zero effort to help us, let alone follow up with us to see if we were able to resolve the issue. Absolutely poor performance, customer service, and just decency. 6.) To top it all off, I have disable veteran plates. For those who know, it is a kind benefit to Texas veterans that you receive a discounted registration. After being told numerous times, the dealership proceeded to charge me full registration and now has put me in a position of not being able to put my plates on my new truck. Instead I have been charged for normal plates, in which I must wait for them to deliver (6-8 weeks right now) for me to then have to make a trip to the DMV to change over . NOT A SINGLE EFFORT OF THE DEALERSHIP TO MAKE RIGHT! Yes I may have been able to catch had the truck been delivered to me the same day!!! I tried to make this short, but to be able to articulate the poor performance of this dealership it was difficult. I want everyone to know the poor business this dealership brings, and I hope management of the dealership sees this. This is not right, and cheapens the reputation of the bigger company name, Toyota. I would absolutely recommend other dealerships, of Shottenkirk Granbury - drive to Weatherford and use their dealership if there is a vehicle you are interested in. I am sure you can have the vehicle transferred. More
