DEF fuel alarm came up on in the information center of the truck. Only had roughly 600 miles on the new Silverado HD 3500 LTZ pickup when the alarm appeared. It was came up on in the information center of the truck. Only had roughly 600 miles on the new Silverado HD 3500 LTZ pickup when the alarm appeared. It was late in the day when I contacted the dealership service department. They had me deliver the truck to them. The service writer (Jake) ran quick diagnostic test, confirmed with the shop his findings. They scheduled the truck into the service department, gave me a loaner vehicle to drive home, (which I returned the next morning). They kept the truck overnight into the next day to confirm the repairs were completed. Very detailed explanation and diagnostics of problem.
