Our experience purchasing a vehicle from South County Auto Plaza was extremely disappointing. Between the vehicle's condition at delivery, inconsistent explanations, and the lack of follow-through after Auto Plaza was extremely disappointing. Between the vehicle's condition at delivery, inconsistent explanations, and the lack of follow-through after the sale, I cannot recommend this dealership. We drove approximately three hours to xx. Louis to look at a car advertised as being in proper working order. During our inspection and test drive, we discovered a rattle underneath the vehicle, a broken latch on the air filter intake, a scuffed bumper, and a nonworking backup camera. When we raised these concerns, the salesman dismissed the air filter issue and initially claimed that this model did not have a backup camera. I then walked to the back of the car and showed him the camera. We declined to purchase the vehicle and drove home. The next day, the dealership called and asked what it would take to earn our business. I explained that all the issues we had identified needed to be repaired. They agreed to complete those repairs and deliver the car so we would not have to make another three-hour trip. When the vehicle arrived, the backup camera worked, but it was hanging loose rather than securely mounted. We also discovered that only one stereo speaker worked, although all the speakers had worked during our original test drive. I reported the stereo problem, and the salesman questioned whether it had been working when we first drove the car. After I confirmed that it had, he said he would speak with his supervisor and call me back. That call never came. We followed up repeatedly and were given additional promises of a return call, but we continued having to chase down an answer ourselves. Eventually, we were told that the stereo had worked before delivery and that too much time had passed for the dealership to address it under the 15-day warranty. This was particularly frustrating because we had already reported the problem and spent that time waiting for responses. Despite our repeated attempts to resolve the issue, the dealership declined to fix it. The customer service was also deeply unprofessional. While coordinating delivery, staff left a voicemail on my wife's phone that continued recording after they apparently thought they had hung up. The recording captured disparaging comments about me for insisting that the agreed-upon repairs be completed, along with remarks about hoping they would not have to speak with me again. We purchased this car with the understanding that the identified problems would be fixed. Instead, we are now facing the expense of a $700 replacement stereo, along with a wiring harness and dash kit, to restore a system that worked during our test drive. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. The inconsistent explanations, unreturned calls, unresolved problems, and disparaging voicemail left us with no confidence in this dealership's professionalism or willingness to stand behind its promises. I would not purchase another vehicle from South County Auto Plaza. More

Got this car less then 30 days and the car was filthy. The car had the check engine light on and we called to inform our salesman. Went on Thursday and Jeff was not there but the GM Dan was and they said they couldn’t do the detail because it would take 3-4 hours. The Gm said he would talk to Jeff and call back the next day which was a Friday. We have called several times and they keep taking messages yet GM Dan hasn’t called me back but Jeff keeps trying to block us from handling this situation. We’re following up as the GM Dan told us but everytime we call he’s either in a “meeting” or with “a customer”. Jeff has tried to stop us from talking to the GM and even lied on my partner stating they detailed the car when they came to have the check engine light reset. Still no calls returned and Jeff keeps lying putting others in his lie and he wasn’t there. All of them are vultures and want your money. Jeff harassed me the whole week of me buying the car just to give me a car that wasn’t cleaned out properly. We just want them to fix what they said they would fix. Jeff has swindled us out of money and he didn’t even make sure his ducks were in a row. More

Headlight needed replaced(still not replaced) my husband had to charge the ac. Took it to a vehicle repair shop and had them go over the vehicle. Needs shocks on both front and back. The entire front suspension needs replaced and rear needs replaced. The EXTRA INSURANCE that they MAKE you take and PAY for in your loan al9ng with GAP insurance, doe NOT want to cover most of it. Fighting over the phone with the certified mechanic saying my vehicle does not have shocks or struts. WHAT A JOKE. I asked the boss of this place to exchange vehicles because it was not even a week that i had it. NOPE cant do that. Told me to bring it in so THEIR mechanic can look at it. I JUST SENT U THE COPY OF WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT FROM THE CERTIFIED MECHANIC SHOP. why do they need to look at it? So they can temporarily fix the problem to shut me up for a minute. xx! Missouri dont have a lemon law unless it is a new vehicle. However there is another law similar in Missouri for used vehicles and I will be contacting them over my vehicle. Now i had to change the battery yesterday and now all my dash lights are flashing,can not take it out of park, my windshield wipers are on at all times even though they are turned off and so much more. I am seriously ANGRY and this place dont care about their customers as they made their sale and commision. I should have known when I was talking to a customer while waiting and they were telling me their vehicle was having problems. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE! YOU WILL BE MAKING A HUGE MISTAKE that you will make payments on for years. More
