Called ahead about a 2018 Honda Pilot, listed online for $18,500. Drove two hours from Austin, which was a mistake because they knew I was interested. Garret showed me the car. I had talked to him personally on the phone, but he claimed never to have heard of me. I thought that was strange. The car I wanted was blue, but the price sticker was for a grey car going for $23,000! They tried to explain the color thing away. At first I assumed the price had gone down since the sticker was put on, because of what I saw online. Stupid of me. I asked for the carfax, they gave me a report for a black car! They tried to dismiss that too as another weird error. Then they hit me with their astronomical price, which was the same as the sticker for the grey car. Thousands more than the price I had seen online, and thousands more than it STILL said online! “The price is reevaluated every week.” So, they both jacked up the price at the last minute, and tried to pass off a phony report to hide something about the car’s history. Absolutely disgusting! More
