Purchased a 2016 Hyundai Tucson Limited I have been reading about the newly redesigned Hyundai Tucson for some time in car magazines. The styling is very sharp. My wife and I like it much be I have been reading about the newly redesigned Hyundai Tucson for some time in car magazines. The styling is very sharp. My wife and I like it much better than the outgoing 2015 model. We wanted a small SUV becuause it is just the two of us, and wanted some utility with good gas mileage. We test drove a Toyota Rav4 Limited and the seats were very uncomfortable for my wife. The styling was nothing remarkable either. The Tucson Limited, with the 1.6 turbo was a pleasant surprise to drive. I was wondering if 175 hp would be enough power, and it is, likely due to the 7 speed auto transmission. The styling of the exterior, with the shark fin antenna, chromed exhaust tip, and the features of the interior, made this the top contender for purchase. When my wife came back to the house after driving it with a big smile and saying she gives it 2 thumbs up, I knew that I would have to buy it if the price was right. This being a 2016, and a redesigned model, I knew going in that there wouldn't be many incentives/rebates on it. I would have been better off waiting a year to get some of the year end deals to save some money, but there is no guarantee that any of us will BE here in a year. When I came back to the dealership, Scott Williams and I made a deal, which I felt was fair, trading in my 2006 Sonata with 140k miles on it, and I was on my way home in 2 hours. I did research on the Tucson, and knew what my car was worth for trade in, so there wasn't a lot of going back and forth on price. Scott came out with the first price, and I countered once, and that is all it took. Everyone at Southtowne that I dealt with were a pleasure to work with.
