I went to Sports Durst to test drive and purchase a Ford Escape that I found on the dealership's website. I was greeted by sales person Eric Kelly. Mr Kelly was pleasant but failed to listen! Although he wr Escape that I found on the dealership's website. I was greeted by sales person Eric Kelly. Mr Kelly was pleasant but failed to listen! Although he wrote my name down multiple times and I was wearing my name tag from work he continued to call me by the wrong name!! He even left voicemail messages calling me the wrong name!! If your going to sell a car you should really call the person by their name, especially after you have written it down several times and the person is wearing a name tag! Secondly during the test drive Mr Kelly decided that he needed to point the rear brake lights out, it was raining and I know what a brake light looks like!!! It was very clear that I knew more about the Escape and its features than he did. There was a problem with the radio, the Escape was still under warranty okay but as it was a concern when I asked i was informed that this was not a Ford dealership, umm i drove to Sport Durst I knew where i was and by the way i own a Hyundai!! Mr Kelly kept pushing the Escape and that I was going to take it home that same day despite the fact that I had said in the beginning I did not want to finalize any deal until the next day. He was taking the stickers off the Escape and saying here are your keys!! Had Mr Kelly stopped and actually listened then he would have known that I did not want the Escape after driving it, I wanted to purchase a newer Hyundai SUV. He did not listen, he kept pushing and calling me the wrong name so the end result was no sale!! Oh and the icing on top of this experience was recieving an email from Mr Kelly thanking me for my purchase!! More
I recently had the pleasure of working with Jack Holt. He was extremely helpful when tring to make my decision to buy from Sports Durst. I had originaly wanted to buy a used car but was persuaded in to buyin was extremely helpful when tring to make my decision to buy from Sports Durst. I had originaly wanted to buy a used car but was persuaded in to buying a new Dodge. From walking up to the building to leaving with my new car I felt very comfortable. Along with friendly customer service from Jack, the building was very clean and inviting. Thank you all for working with me when other dealers would not and making my new car buying experience great! I bought a car that was less then a year old with under 12,000 miles Issues with purchase: ===================== 1 - The price in reality really was not nearly as great as they kept telling me it wa 12,000 miles Issues with purchase: ===================== 1 - The price in reality really was not nearly as great as they kept telling me it was. If I would have done more shopping (which I clearly should have) I could have gotten a brand new car at other dealerships with many more features then the used car I bought here for only $2,000 more. 2 - The trade offer that they gave me was right on par (if not below) and again, they nonstop kept telling me how good it was 3 – They were not honest with the true history of the car, they told me that he car was originally purchased at that dealership in which it wasn't. It was not even purchased in NC. The car already had a little bit of rust starting on the undercarriage which was probably because the car spent a winter outside in a state that salts the roads. 4 – They did succeed in talking me into buying the extended warranty and maintenance package (read on). 5 – They nonstop kept telling me how I could never buy a brand new car for the price range I was looking for. Not true as I just bought the exact car I wanted from a different dealership in the exact price range I was looking for. Issues post purchase: ===================== 1 - Since this was a certified pre-owned car they are expected to cover the point checklist provided by the manufacturer of the car. At least five things on that list were clearly not checked which probably means they never even checked the car out in the first place. 2 - One of the (at min) five things that they did not check actually deemed the car unsafe to drive. 3 - At no charge they did fix the issue which did take over a week to get done (not a good feeling for a car you just sunk well over $20,000 into). Issues with maintenance package: ================================ 1 – This package included oil changes, air filter changes, tire rotations, tire level checks, and fluid top offs every time your car enters the service department. 2 – When it was time for an oil change I had to talk to three different people about getting the appointment scheduled because no one knew what I was entitled to. 3 – The full checks were not done as stated in the contract. Even after I would specifically mention things after bringing my car in they still would not get done. On another note: **************** After dealing with this nonsense (and only owning the car for less then six months with all of this happening) I requested that all of my extended warranty and maintenance plans just be canceled and me fully refunded as customer satisfaction and the history of what I have been through. I initially only rceived $1,600 of the $2,500 and the finance department tried to make me think I was lucky to get that much. After filing a complaint with the BBB I received an additional $500 making the total loss around $400 along with the headaches mentioned above. There are many other dealers around, do not go to this place first and let them talk you into thinking they are gods greatest gift to earth. I ended up trading this car into another dealership for a brand new car that was only $2,000 more then what I originally paid for this used car. I am very happy with the new car from the other dealership as this car was: 1) Brand new with next to no miles, less then 100 to be exact 2) Had many more features 3) I actually know the true history as I was provided full records (Location of manufacturer, location of inspection, etc.) 4) Have had nothing but excellent service from the service department More
Jack Holt was the best car salesperson I have ever met. He made me feel comfortable during the entire sales experience. There was no pressure during the sales process. Call to make a service appt for my Hyundai Santa Fe today and I was very taken by the friendliness of one of the staff members. There is a Hyundai dealer more closer to my home but I turned off when calling and I was very taken by the friendliness of one of the staff members. There is a Hyundai dealer more closer to my home but I turned off when calling to inquire about an appointment. The lady I spoke with made me feel as if I didnt matter as a customer and I was aggravating her with my questions, so I just called Sport Durst. A girl named Jennifer answered the phone and helped me take care of all my questions and was more than happy to help me. Even though you guys are about 40 minutes away, I will be making all my future appt's with Sport Durst for now on. Spending money on car repairs is stressful enough for me, but after my experience with Jennifer and the Sport Durst staff I'm much more at ease. Sport Durst doesn't just sell quality vehicles, but quality CUSTOMER SERVICE as well which is just as important. Thanks Guys More
I rated Jack Holt an overall (5) because from the beginning to the end of the sale; he was very attentive to ensuring that I was comfortable. Once I had told him that I work with at-risk youth and t beginning to the end of the sale; he was very attentive to ensuring that I was comfortable. Once I had told him that I work with at-risk youth and their families; I felt he wanted to help me obtain a vehicle even more! What really made me feel comfortable is that he kept saying "I work for you". I really felt that he had my best interest in mind. I had come to your dealership from another dealership located in Fuquay Varina; what a miserable experience that was. I had remembered seeing your dealership on TV and decided to ask my friend if she wouldn't mind driving to Durham. She didn't mind. The drive was worth it! I have never, never owned a brand new car; on this day I was blessed with my very first brand new vehicle! I am very satisfied with the customer care that we recieved from Travis. I have been to different car dealerships and by far this has been the best experience I've had. He does what he says. Not like other sales people who would tell you something just to keep you there. Travis greeted us as soon as we got out of our car. We did not have to go in and look for someone to help us. He helped us from the time we got there to the time we left. I must say, the patience that he had for us was very impressing, saying that we were there the whole day. He never gave up on us. Every sales person should be like Travis :) 5 out of 5 on his friendliness, customer service, and professionalism.
