This car was seen by kia repair shop one week after purchase for progressively worsening loud rear end noise that sounded exhaust related. While there , the repair shop completed 5 recall updates. Was told loud noise could not be exhaust related and adjustments had been made to "lessen" the sound but repair shop was not able to completely resolve the defect. Drove less than 5 miles and car went into what the repair shop deemed could be "limp mode" and instructed me to return car to shop. I paid ($100) for tow back to repair shop where it was evaluated for the next 3 days. Was informed there was no warranty for the electrical problem causing the complete breakdown of the auto and was charged an approximate amount of 160 to repair. In the middle of these events I attempted to reach out to the salesperson who said he would get back to me but I have yet to hear from him. Now the car is still excessively loud to the point it causes concern for my hearing. It is sluggish especially on hills, and gas mileage has dropped to less than 20 mpg when it should get 24- 30 or more. I was told by the salesperson to purchase this auto was in tip top condition and had been serviced in kia repair shop in excess of 2,000-3 000 to ensure it was at optimal performance. I am senior/ fixed income with no family support within 5 hours, thus, a reliable auto was my foremost concern and was stressed during the sales process. I was told the finance department was giving me a 40,000 mile warranty. When I asked how much that was going to cost I was told it was "free" . Thinking it was leftover factory warranty I didnt think more if it. However on review of paperwork, I find I was charged 3000 dollars for said "free" warranty. Because i was assured this auto was sound and reliable, I paid with my limited savings a 3000 down payment. Due to the mentioned above events, I have no trust in this dealership. I feel I was sold a defective and unreliable car under numerous false representation .
